Truly riveting performance of one of the best dramatic scenes for a woman ever written. To have a female character figure so prominently in a tragedy and be so influential in determining its' outcome was pretty revolutionary stuff at the time. Wonder if writing during a strong female monarchy encouraged Shakespeare's feminist tendencies.
Lady Macbeth is one of the great all time characters and villains.
She is absolutely extraordinary. I think she captures the humanity and truth of Lady far better than Judi Dench. Her scream sent chills up and down my spine. Great actress.
She does a great job as acting as Lady Macbeth...however, I perfer the quiet insanity of Polanski's verision to this. I'm not even sure exactly which version this is... help?
Seriously, that last scream... x.x

@Goddessdaughter This is Rupert Goold's version, adapted for television by PBS' Great Performances series. Patrick Stewart plays Macbeth.
