  • I actually prefer the "destructive" techniques. I do know how to use masks, but I tend to get much better results by duplicating layers and making permanent changes. I use both, but for things like this I actually prefer not to use masks.

  • I was actually responding to x6767, but I like that working directly with non-mask layers it's easy to make changes, and you can make changes a lot quicker than with masks. I dunno, mostly a personal preference but I also like airbrushing and working with varied opacities and flows. :D
