  • Not being mean but i want epilepsy and watch the most neon colored flashing video EVA

  • hey rick, meds are second to a solid diet, not knockin ya, just saying.)

i have had grand mals for over 15 years, luckily, or mayb not, i have stuck w dilantin.

wanted to tell you, and anyone who reads this to check out youtube and type in,

    epilepsy bionic band

watch the funny hair guys story.

the interview thing is more informative but the song is funny, if a little off key. i checked out the website and made an order

  • ca6kotoO, No you don't have epilepsy (see 2:20 or such).

  • So .... Yesterday I hit my head into a Road sign ( for those wondering I didn't do that on purpose it was an accident) and I was unconcious for about 2-3 seconds. Is that a seizure or not ?

  • @Sinke97 Thanks I knew someone would get some good from that. I will respond more tomorrow, there is a lot of odd ball poetry done about E. I did not have those intentions I was releasing some feelings. was having INTENSE near death experiences,de ja vus, a lot of side effects. If it were not for my early drug use and knowing a lot of these feelings I would have gone crazy long ago. knowing yourself REAL WELL is the key to "BRAIN GAMES" of any kind. Peace Rick

  • If it wasn't for her i wouldn't be what i am. Conscious that love towards every living being, human, animal or plant, means more then money and material possesion which is taking us further from knowledge what we really are, products of pure LOVE. Thank you my scary friend.

  • what is a good med for this

  • I had them for a while in my youth... In order to treat a fit you just rubbed really fast whatever part was numb till sensation came back.

I don't know how, but in my older age I've managed to figure out the sensations associated with them enough to fight them. I've never had a fit since.

I think this video is a little too simplistic... not all seizures are the same, or have the same cause.

  • It's freshing to know about it.

My mom got this and i never knew what it exactly was.

  • Great series of videos on epilepsy. I recommend them all. I have had epilepsy for over 40 years & this series covers a lot of the usual questions people have about epilepsy. This video Understanding Epilepsy #1 doesn't show a complex partial seizure which disappoints me because they are the most common type of seizure. They are also one of the most unrecognized seizure because a complex partial seizure can take on many forms & one can look like they are drunk, on drugs or psychotic during a sz.

  • I'm an epileptic. I was given only 2 weeks to live thanks to my doctor at birth. However, 20 years later, I'm alive and well.13 months old, I had a major seizure that made me switch from being right-handed to my left. Even though seizures are always a scary thing for me, I choose not to be labeled as "disabled" or "handicapped". Learning that I could die if I have one major seizure, I try not to do anything to cause danger to myself. God is surely looking out for me and any other epileptics!! :)

  • @Francisorbs886 I have epilepsy and my boyfriend has been traumatized by my seizures. I don't know that they happen but he always has deep concern for me and i appreciate it.

  • dude, wtf? can i please see someone under go a seizer from a epilepsy please?

  • @UpTehCooch SERIOUSLY? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!? MY FATHER HAS EPILEPSY AND ITS TERRIFYING. ITS NOT FUCKING ENTERTAINMENT YOU IDIOT, THIS DISORDER CAN KILL PEOPLE. ITS BASICALLY YOUR BRAIN HAVING A HEART ATTACK, AND MY DAD HAS THEM DAMN NEAR EVERY DAY. THIS IS NO JOKE AND YOU SHOULD BE GOD DAMN ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, LETS SEE YOU HAVE A SEIZURE AND SEE HOW IT FEELS, BET YOU WOULDNT BE SAYING STUPID SHIT LIKE THIS. I HONESTLY CANNOT BELIEVE YOU POSTED THIS COMMENT. KARMA'S A BITCH.

  • @britfroehlich hey no disrespect & I can see the anger over anything you think is out of line but it was just a simple question. Also if your Father is doing this everyday you need to understand more about this condition. This IS NOT "Basically you Brain having Heart attack!" It IS terrifying and even though I have experienced over a 1,000 gmal szs I have always known the witness actually has the harder role . Peace to YOU & YOUR family .Knowledge is power! Rick Wichita Kansas

  • Sometimes it sits softly ,never revealing IT'S function. Then maybe a Tic a twitch ,A revelation that IT is near. IT is always angry with me,a twist ,a twirl,a clinch with a fist. Sometimes I smile ,IT has power how can I resist. Do I get to prepare, a soft bed or just a cold stare? Like a 1,000 anvils the weight, we try but the power is great. A BIG whoosh and a SLAM a reminder to beware. Angry growl, deafening howl, spit, blood, IT does not hide IT DOES NOT CARE!

  • (continued)

Proves that someone you know, a dog and even a fictional character (duh) can have epilepsy. My dog actually watches TV (or stares oddly at it) and I wonder if she ever will when I play COD black ops., who knows what could happen! Sorry for a long comment.

  • I know some examples of some beings who have epilepsy:

    -An old friend at school

    -My dog, Rene

    -Cuddles (from Happy Tree Friends)

    Everyone knows that.

  • Hi I posted those 3 responses to show something many here fully understand I am sure. These have been some of my ramblings over a short period about another vid. but very much more about this! I toned them down because of lack of space or they could be EXPLOSIVE VERY REAL the things I posted tonight are much diff. than this just a few days ago and my feelings are in dark blue, green almost grey, ringing low tones,am bloody ,broken ,almost 911,numb,small,dislocated?broken?16th medication lol Rick

  • Thx. Not sure what brought me here I have managed to lol with this for many yrs and am now have this over whelming feeling of being stuck in the middle, life is a very fine wire to stroll on in a "normal" world as it is ,but now "IT" pushes me hard sometimes and it HURTS to smile back ? have NEVER gave up or gave in to anything ,ever ,but with pain, confusion, memory loss the HURT has become reality ,my rambling above was a persons response to seizures, sleepwalking ,sounds HURT Rick

  • Epilepsy = Vitamin B Defizit!!!

  • @Brennesselll You better rush to the bank & call the pope because you're a Billionaire & a saint. Rick

  • I do not know whether or not my seizures are caused by epilepsy, but I do know the huge toll they take on a persons life, they slow alot of things down and dig a pretty deep hole, especially if you feel as if you have no control over your life anymore because of your condition, it is a bump in the road that you can get over, it takes a very long time and a lot of work for some. I know what It feels like to not be able to function and it frustrates me so much, but I cant let it stop my life.

  • i have epilepsy.. its a living hell jus so you know

  • It's funny to read all of the non-epileptic 'doctors' on here. IF you're not a doctor or don't have epilepsy, STFU, you have NO IDEA what this has done to my life. Thank God I'm intelligent...otherwise, I'd be homeless, or dead. I also have a measured IQ of 160...do you know how frustrated I get when I get so far in a college course, to have to drop it bc I have seizures, and CAN'T FUNCTION?

  • my aunt had that shit when she had attacks foam came out from her mouth i was little back than let me tell ya scary shit.

  • Well, no one actually dies from this... Just have someone watch over you or make sure you're at a safe place. I don't believe someone can die just a really bad bump on the head if a seizure occurs...

  • @ChoccoMonkey thats were your wrong people can die of seizures because in some cases due to the over-excited nerves and some people can stop breathing.

  • @MaxtheMetalhead, they should not play videogames much, that is correct, but unfortunatelly, I'm one of those who just is addicted to games, so it's difficult for me to stop playing.

  • I guess they don't play Atari much.

  • Just diagnosed at the age of 29. This series has been helpful...thanks for posting.

  • @christiondaun It's hard, but you'll get through it. My sister has epilepsey and it's been rough but you can do anything you put your mind to.

  • I have epilepsy, my family tells me I don't have a strong one so I won't die. But really, if you want me to be honest, I don't believe in that, not until I really see it with my own eyes. You see, words these days are useless to prove anything, only facts can prove it. It is true that I'm still alive, but who knows what can happen tomorrow...that's why you should live your life like no one does.

  • @alexis9000 to die because of epilepsie is not very often,(If you´re not having a strong one) but the danger is you´re brain, longer seizures can destroy it. so you have to get something to supress them. i have epilepsie too and i´m having a slight one too, and i´m taking emergency medicines in case of a seizure. i got epilepsie since i´m 6 and i´m still normaly developed. i know it´s scary to know about youre own epilepsie and i had to learn to life with it too. i wish you good luck

  • I might have epilepsy and have been having seizures for the past 6 months. the hospital are useless and nothing helps to be honest. But i haven't got a diagnosis yet =\ - i can have up to 9 a day and I'm so tired afterwards =\

  • I might have epilepsy and have been having seizures for the past 6 months. the hospital are useless and nothing helps to be honest. But i haven't got a diagnosis yet =\

  • This is a valuable teaching vid & it is important to be able to recognize a seizure & to be able to know what to do & more importantly, what not to do. Great series!

  • I really like these videos on epilepsy and am wondering if I could burn videos # 1, # 3, and # 4 on a cd for training purposes at work?

  • This girl in my school today said she didnt feel good and was really hot.

she sat down. After that she dropped all her stuff then her eyes rolled back in her head and her head leaned to the side. She wasnt shaking. I really want to try and find out what was wrong. I have never seen anything like that before.. in real life :((

  • How can I get a complete transcript of this video?

  • i think a girl in my class has epilepsy

  • @anebt

    Really? I never knew that!

  • I have epilepsy so I know exactly what other ppl are going through

  • Would having a seziure be blacking out for a couple seconds, losing conciousness and falling down after i stand up? And my head gets hot

  • 2:32 my old slumbag apartment!!! !!!

  • I'm an epileptic who has grand mal seizures and petit mal seizures. Its hard to watch these videos because I've never seen what I look like when I have one and I don't know how hard it is on the ones who love me.

  • My mom has epilepsy and nothing has happen to her since she was 18 and then last night we found her on the floor at 1:00 in the morning cause we heard noises of her falling. Super scary cause she was on the floor for like 10 minutes. Shes okay now after going to the hospital in an ambulance.

  • i have Epilepsy, ihad my first seizure when i was in 3rd grade. i was told about a year ago that i will never grow out of it, its just something i have to live and deal with. i go about my normal day, like any other normal person, i take a medisine in the morning when i wake up and before i go to bed, u can never really cure epilepsy but u can control it like my doctors have done for me by giving me the right meds. so, i know what its like to have epilepsy

  • yea it is severe and many people don't notice it. For those of you who would like to know experiences and more, you are welcome to ssee my video about epilepsey, comment and i'll respond where little by little, we'll all learn together. There are more cures to this than medicine

  • We have a patient that had over 3000 sezures a year. After 10 months of care she had only 3 seizures in 2 months. Her neurologist was excited to hear how well she was dong until he found out that Dianna attributed her improvment due to chiropractic care. Well it has been 5 years since she started treatment and guess what?? She just got her drivers license. Check out her testimonial at our page. We don't treat epilepsy we just help the nerves function better.

  • man this stuff is harsh

  • My brother just died from massive grande marle epileptic seizure after suffering all his life and finally growing a tolerance to all medication. He died in bed alone in a pool of blood and was only 35 years old. Epilepsy is frightening, sad, isolating, debilitating and cruel.

  • @drinkmoretui im sorry for your lost are you o.k :(

  • @project0omega it gets easier everyday - knowing that he doesnt have to put up with the pain of epilepsy anymore..but i miss him

  • @drinkmoretui My thoughts with you and your bro. Oddly enough I just waking up from ,in a pool of blood, broken tables, cuts, numb, small ill,? RINGING LOUD, Peace to you and your family Rick always recovering

  • I'd be careful about taking medical "facts" from somone who doesn't even know the difference between a condition, and a disease.

When was the last time you heard somone say, "Bill called in sick today. He's got a bad case of epilepsy, and it's highly contagous." ?

  • I've got epilepsy

  • @mollyskrolly its nothing to be proud of

  • @baSSxCC I didn't say I was proud of it

  • What do you call 5 epileptic sufferers in tinfoil?

    A pack of wrigleys!!!

  • @1994FishFreak grow up

  • @1994FishFreak

    Fail!!

  • @1994FishFreak

nice you tell that joke when most of these people (including me) are epileptic

  • im a new epileptic patient and i was a commercial pilot and now have nothing so i know some people think seizures are cool but I have been revived twice in 3 days so thats how serious it is....Im 21 years old and would take any adivice given about the disorder//disease

  • i've got epilepsy, 2 years ago had first seizure, before i got on meds i was having grand mal seizures and up to 50 complex partial seizures a day. this shits real and can be hard to deal with, like many things it must be taken in stride (though it is hard to take losing all control of your body and blacking out in front a crowd of uneducated onlookers in stride).. also, fuck that god shit madperson876 is spitting, all the power, everything that will ever help you is already within

  • I had my 1st one about 2 months ago Im 36, lost all control, I was also walking around but I dont remember that, i wake up w/ the EMT. Any way All the CAT Scan, MRI and EEG all came clean..... So know I have to take the meds for 2 yrs, and worrie about what is going on,,, I cant drive for 3 months makes life hard. I just HATE the not knowing WHY it happened.

  • if i only get small seizures a lot wen im sleep only is that epileptic?

  • @tahthedon Yes I have it as well. My doctor diagnosed me.

  • @tahthedon

Nah, but there are some seizures that you can have when you sleep. I can't remember what it is called. Check with your doctor if you are worried.

  • My friend Just died from this ..i never knew about it ...and i never knew how severe it could be ...he told me but i never thought it would kill him ...Make sure you watch people with Epilepsy because it is dangerous

    ~ydbeatz~

  • I'm sorry.

  • @Youngd2007

LOL, You got that right. I had a seizure about 2 years ago while drive. Caused my vehicle to flip 8 or 9 times.

It was a miracle though. I walked away barely harmed.

However, I believe I feel asleep behind the wheel more than I do about having a seizure. But im listening to the doctors on that one.

  • @JustinBlottin WOW! you are truly blessed! That is seriously the most times ive heard of a car flipping over! Glad you are alive and well.

  • @Youngd2007

I actually posted a video about it. You should look it up. its called "PASSING GOD's LOVE".

  • @Youngd2007 can i ask how he die? i thought you can't die from this... please answer, i can't find it on google

  • @Circus2999 People dont normally die from the seizure alone, my friend died from hitting his head on an object. If you or someone you know has seizures just make sure people check on them or have someone check on you (if you have them). Other than that my friend lived life to the fullest and was very nice to everyone. i hope the info i have given you helps you out

  • @Youngd2007 hi, youngd. first off, thank you for replying. i was dating someone who had frontal lobe epilepsy, and she had seizures in bed... first i tried holding her arms straight and catching her before she fell off the bed. it was tough trying to understand the situation. i became very irritated at a lot of things she did due to her illness... i was vry ignorant coming into something like this; i was uneducated... i thought, "if i start loving her, (cont)

  • @Youngd2007 what if she dies, and i can't do anything about it." i want to learn more about this illness in orer to understand her more, that's if she chooses to talk to me again. but thank you for replying. i agree epilepsy is a serious condition, and i'm sorry about your friend. take care.

  • @Circus2999 Thank you and i hope everything works out for you both, if its something you learn to deal with im sure you can have a very long lasting relationship ...good luck!

  • @Youngd2007: i have it and my friend died from it :´((

  • I just sent my bf the link

  • Thank you for putting something different up on youtube. Maybe some people can learn from it. It makes me sad to think about this illness.

  • My brother have epilepsy since he was 12. He is now 36 years old. And his seizure is not frequent anymore.

  • my boyfriend, and my step brother, and my 5 friends and 1 of my friends dad has epilepsy

  • @MrsSJFrancis

Sheesh, thats a lot of people!

  • can anyone help me by posting some more info on epilepsy? i just got diagnosed officialy today. <:'(

  • Didn't the people who diagnosed you officially didn't they give you some information and sites to check out? Well if not there are plenty of sites to look up just type in your condition and you'll find it.

  • Sure i can, send me a pm I've it like 4 years.

  • I had epilepsy when i was young and the doctor wasn't sure if i was going to live because only 10% live through all the seizures i was having. Thank you lord i am still alive today. I appreciate doctors so much today.

  • my name is brooklyne gamble i have had brain surgery in march of this year and i have had eppilepsy since i was 2 and i have only felt no well 2 times so i thing i am clear of eppilepsy

  • I have epilepsy, and photosensitive epilepsy is the lighting type. It is not the only type of epilepsy. There are many different types of epilepsy, for example, I have Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy, and this isn't affected by lighting. People only take lighting as an example of epilepsy, because that is the trigger that is most well-known. Me being on computer games or on game consoles does not affect my seizures, they just happen when I am stressed or tired.

  • Stop it, just stop it. You came on here just to watch a seizure? I know I'm being overly sensitive, but I just don't get why you're disappointed cos you don't get to watch someone having a seizure. People doing that just upsets me.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh lovely, Thanks a lot. Just because I am sticking up for all epileptics out there you go as far as to give me verbal abuse?

  • clarinetlover2012 - take no notice!! :)

  • @clarinetlover2012 actually i came here to watch a siezure because my dog just had one. i'm here to learn.

  • @KihonNitenIchiRyu

    oh... sorry...

  • @KihonNitenIchiRyu In situations like this, one mus never panic, and if you restrain the ppreson, simply weight them down, in the case of an animal, you might not want to touch, but you should definately talk them through it.

i've learned alot since my litle doodoo had a seisure, such as what caused it, how to react and what to look for.

these videos are some peoples only access to direct tutorial medical knowledge.

    don't be angry, everything's ok. :)

  • @clarinetlover2012 I had a seizure in hospital. Afterwards, I was doped up on lorazepam, then dilatin, and finally levetiracetam.

I wanted to see what a seizure was like, not because of some lascivious impulse, but because I wanted to see WHAT HAPPENED TO ME.

I don't remember the seizure. I don't remember the lumbar puncture. I don't remember the MRI scan.

But, I still want to know what happened.

  • I'd like to ask some one who could know.

I know I have to see a doctor, but last week I went with some friends to a club and one of them gave me an "e" pill

I was fine but since then I've been sensitive to all sort of lights specially the lights at the clubs, to the point of being scared to go dancing because the spot lights at clubs, it feels like seizures.

one night I collapsed in front of people when the lights were blinking in the dark dance floor. is this a form of seizure?

    thanks

  • Strobe lights can trigger seizures for me. So if I go dancing and they turn on the strobes, I have to hold on to my partner and close my eyes - sometimes I have to put my hands over my eyes or bury my face in their chest because the lights are so bright. I even have to do this when I go to a movie and they show dark/bright/dark/bright scenes rapidly.

Epilepsy can be caused by bad drugs. Your "friend" may have given you permanent "brain damage." You're right, see a neurologist soon. Good luck.

  • Same here but mine is not severe at all ive only had 2 in my whole life and both were caused by strobe lights

  • trianmiamor (boy is that a long username to spell!), thats called photosensitive. people associate epilepsy with that a lot.

  • i'm epileptic, and my neurologist(s) has told me next to nothing about the condition itself (they're only worried about making the seizures go away, not about educating the patient); these videos are an extremely helpful source of information, and I intend to refer to them for basic info

  • This video has just made my day. I will be here daily. Dealing with epilepsy is complicated and having it make sense helps a lot

  • Yes, I know what you mean. Many great people suffered from seizures/epilepsy do not let it get you down. I posted them on my page for everyone to see.

  • Very general but probably informative enough for persons without a long history of epilepsy or those who are not neurologists.

  • lol me 2 (easy way to put it).... lolz they got excited!!!

  • Last time it happened, I was in a train under the channel. People looked freaked out when I woke up but I didn't know why !

  • awesome

  • I had seizures before my end of 8th grade and couldn't play football last year because of it. My doctor said because of the head contact. Then my mom said she found out that there are two pro football players with epilepsy who are fine as long as they take their medicine. My doctor said she is fine with it as long as when we start tackling I don't have one. Ha if I don't have one then ima be back to kicking some ass.

  • ya ur mom right a polish football payer named Millano barosh have it but he is js ok

    dont worry

i say htis cuz i also have it inside me 2 & an half yeaRs ago

  • the football players are SAMARI ROLLE AND ALAN FANECA.

  • I posted all famous people with seizures on my page.

  • I Just had a seizure friday and it was a on and off thing 4 times either shaking and staring went to the hospital and got it controlled and this time it lasted the longest .. I am now taking Dilantin to keep it controlled

  • for crying out loud dont yell at anyone having a seizure or shake them! My daughter has seizures her teachers cant detect in florida, they are trying to get her off her meds. any suggestions, anyone!

  • @tylersgirl9

I know, this is from a year ago, but your daughter may be having absence seizures, I have them, does it look like she is just staring into space? If she is then DO NOT TAKE HER OFF HER MEDICATION.

  • okay okay okay okay okay!@!!!!@ i get it now...

  • my name is Bridget Porch, Im trying to educate the state of FL, Shadyhill elem. school in Ocala need to be educated. Please someone help me!! Im in nj gathering documents from former drs, and schools. They dont think she needs to be on her meds. I know shes scared so is her brother, they were placed with a family katrina and dave fishbrough. Im not even aloud to talk to them. The centers for hope in fl. is a joke nancy brobby you took kids away from a mom who cares, why cant fl admit a mistake?

  • I am talking to someone that has epilepsy and she was dating someone until he found out she had it. Now he wont date her. How low can you get

  • shallow hal?

  • Just about. Its pathetic

  • he also might be weak, and can't take a situation of his girlfriend going into a seizure in front of him. i could understand that but he should reconsider if it never happens. i wouldn't dump some one if they had narcolepsy, or epilepsy, or (my family calls it) ass burgers (cuz my mom has it), or parkinsons... if it interfered with our relationship to where i couldn't spend time with her, i would consider breaking it off. but being shallow like that isn't cool.

  • thats what I told her also.

  • Poor girl. That man is a weak, dirty fuck.

  • I know.

  • thats stupid. Why would you break up with someone because they have epilepsy... A lot of famous people have epilepsy and nothing is wrong with them. Maybe it was more than just that. If it was just that then maybe it was a good thing that she found out she had epilepsy becuz she found out that she was going with an inconsiderate dick.

  • Some people I guess just can't handle that type of stuff. They cant handle seeing their loved one doing something like that and they cant help them out. Yea and it could be also the guy is just shallow. If I had a gf who had seizures, I would still love them but I may cry cause I would feel sad. Its hard for me to explain.

  • i totally agree

cuz i have it inside me

  • i totally agree

cuz i have it inside me & i feel my friends r not like b4

  • well i hope you live a great life and they are just handling things differently. Did you get this later in life or did you find out earlier?

  • *Video Information Inserted Here*

    You know I'm right.

  • OHH WHAT THE fuck

im 15 and my mom had a sezier

and now she wont take her medicine or talk to me

all she does is stair off into space confused

its makin me so mad now

now shes a hour later for medicine

    this sucks

eny one got eny tips for her to snap out of this>?

  • Im sorry to hear that your mom is not taking her meds. I took me a while to want to take meds for my seizures. I have complex partial seizures since 6 years old. Please do not be mad at your mother. There is probably has a reason why she wont take meds. Seizures cant be snapped out of either, thats what meds are for. She might need to go see an epilepsy counslor if this is new for her. Seizures cant be helped and anger really hurts the person suffering with it.

  • Don't anybody try and do that. NEVER.

Let them go through it and talk to them / tell a story when they come out of it. (I have 8 fits per month)

  • ok sorry

  • You cant be snapped out of an epileptic seizure.... she may have stopped coincedently whilst you were shouting at her...but it wasnt because you were shouting

  • If someone is having a seizure, for the love of God, do not shake them or yell at them or anything. Make sure they are somewhere where they won't accidentally hurt themselves. From there, you'll just have to wait it out. You can try holding their hand, talking to them, comfort them, et cetera, but yelling at your grandmother will just make things much worse.

  • to zeama77: Why would you yell at her? A seizure cannot be snapped out of.

  • no it doesn't, get your facts correct

  • Dammit, how'd you figure us out? I'll have to kill you now. Hail Lucifer!

  • lolol you have -2 now xD

  • HAH! so do you! :D

  • damnit -3 now :P

  • It's hard to read sarcasm on the Internet without a winking smiley ;) or "j/k"

  • christians are so stupid, they think there is a god!

  • 300emo694, I know that you posted this 11 months ago, but the reason that we were happy was that we knew that Jesus cared so much about us that he died to save us and forgive our sins. We were also happy because he rose from the dead and still gave us the love that we feel for him. We are not stupid, we are expressing how we feel, so you can keep your views to yourself.
