i challenge any martial arts master to a fight i believe i am the best alive and i have developed a style derived from ancient egypt the root of all martial arts!
@meccaplatinumloco Your mother probably took you to the neighborhood strip center McDojo and bot you 2 weeks of martial arts lessons and now you're a bonifide killer...huh?. Well I have developed a "super super secret" martial arts style that is even quicker than bullets and missles...so there!.....How long have you been classified as an idiot?....I wonder?
@meccaplatinumloco Bullshit! Until the human body grows additional arms and legs there is nothing new under the sun regarding martial arts. So much for your secret society of martial arts moves. If you actually knew something about martial arts you'd understand. Maybe you'd be better off studying voodoo, they say that might even work better!
@jeffsor47 you have just unwittingly championed my argument thank you..the oldest system of fighting is nubian 100 000 years old which is the founders of the first egyptian dyansties as well as the predynastic ones next?
@93wildkid Try Kung Fu San Soo first. It is derived from Tai Chi but is for the street only and is much more effective for street defense. Check out YouTube vids to see what I mean incluse joint locks, breaks, punches, leverages, sweeps, groin strikes, etc..Everything for your survival.
i ve heard size does not matter in martial arts is that true? because i always lose in bjj sparring because the guy is bigger than me.He could pick me up then throw me down.i would try to aim for his lower section for his body and make him fall so then i could do some ground fighting but he stays in place like a rock.So is it based on muscle or just technique?By the way i always wanted to take tai chi ive read its has a lot of health benefits and its very peaceful but destructive at the sametime
@mmaizawezome dude, if thats your issue, then study tai chi....tai chi specializes in this since even an old guy can defend himself. Tai Chi is not about size and strength, rather it is about mastering balance and using your opponents strength against himself and directing your "chi" for maximum impact. A person with extreme outer strength is no match for someone that can direct his/her chi all in one point....
try hold the ball part the horses mane then drop to a medium stance turn and push and watch their head grow wings.and to that byen 8 dude i do yang style tai chi and there are 108 moves for me to choose from.if you dont know about the string of pearls you should maybe find out ,not by being proud but by humbling yourself. i have used tai chi in a street fight and my knowing about the string of pearls gave me the advantage.i also know some kun tao,jui jitsu.but tai chi by far is my martial art.
Tai Chi does have many similarities to Aikido. Although I'm sure that an Aikidoka would be expected to do these techniques much better than I do. I have never done Aikido. I base my techniques on method and structure. But both arts are based on an understanding of Yin and Yang.
it looks good because the guy just falls down when he should, but he could just as easily step back and smash his fist through the dudes jaw, and I can prove this, because if you watch mma do you see anyone use these techniques? Now think about it, there's massive money available in mma, now if these techniques worked, wouldn't someone use them....mmmmm
@byen8 "Oh yeah? Well if he did that, I would do this..."
Comments like this from non-martial artists are very tiresome. This is a demo of technique, with some method. The real power of tai chi is in its structure. All good fighters understand this. That's why many of the best do internal styles at some point.
I teach tai chi to martial artists of many styles, including "mixed martial artists." They find it useful.
This is one of the real Tai Chi that I have ever watched on Youtube. I studied 20 years of GoJu Karate and then turn to Taichi. Wish you produce more quality video on TaiChi.
@taijiman7777, there is alot of money in MMA, my friend starts his first fight for UFC in september, he gets payed 100K for 3 fights... On top of what he gets for sponsors and promotions and teaching if he does.
@taijiman7777 Good answer, if you can't see the value in adding relaxed power and sound body dynamics plus efficient use of leverage to your athletic training, you might be an internet troll with nothing better to do.
@taijiman7777 As a self defense teacher for a Police Academy who has studied hard, soft and MMA styles for fighting and respect and love them all....the concepts that work the best has always been the "soft" styles of Taiji/bagua/XingYi. After all, a punch is a punch whether it is a right-cross from boxing or a reverse punch from go-ju. Know your enemy's root of power and balance you can control and defeat him quickly with no effort on your part. Yes, the cops I taught use Taiji for selfdefense
@byen8 its not about the technique its about the concept and the application of the motion. The motion of a jab can become a counter. A hook can move parry a punch. you have to learn to answer with your body. not solely look for the best perfect technique.
@byen8 mma is one thing.....just cause mma doesn't use it doesn;t mean i "can't" work...any technique can fail and knowledge of technique is simply just adding another tool to your tool belt or weapon to your arsenal....i don;t get when people throw out something cause it isn't undefeatable or not to their liking..anything can work.....and it's all knowledge so respect for that knowledge should be the operative.....it can't hurt to know..it can possibly hurt to NOT know....
I love the taichi walk. Plodding into it like an elderly man then never breaking a sweat. When one part moves the whole body does. One lesson with someone who knows what they're talking about and all the preconceptions vanish.
As I often tell my students, tai chi only works against a right lunge punch. ;->
Actually, most of the techniques demonstrated involve what happens after interception. So, the initial attack is not relevant. Each technique is, in practical terms, useful only as a response to a position. It is not a response to an action.
A "street fight" is different from an assault. One is a challenge, the other is a surprise. One must be adaptable.
Great video. Just a thought, it might be a good idea to teach the student some breakfalls, like in aikodo/judo. He's struggling and falling on his arm which can be dangerous
Great video. My background is Okinawan Karate and I love seeing the similarities between styles. Tai Chi may be performed slowly and gracefully, but its applications are very similar to my fast, power kata applications.
And I really appreciate that you show more than one application for a move. Many people get it in their heads that there is only one or two meanings for a move.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. You make a good point. Although I would hesitate to call someone an idiot just because they don't include redundancy in their technique.
The first part of this demonstration is of an important principle used in the second technique. The second demonstration includes the first.
In reality, I am like you in that I also lack the skill to fight without using my hands.
As for the wrist grab, there is much more going on that simply "dragging his arms"
Taichi in my country is somewhat promoted for health and then for many year people thought it just only health manicure process rather than fighting system like this and also for elderly person to perform, I would given this five star.. cheer

後半段主要是野馬分鬃這招

To "80KungFu"
Do you think he did the side step, as a technique he would rely on, in a real situation?
Or do you think he did it, to make an example. Showing that, the side stepping, in theory is enough, to avoid the attack?
(and that in a real situation, he would of course, side-step with the arms ready to parry)
Are you maybe, to focused on finding flaws/errors...
Thereby blinding yourselves, to the point, in which you don't realize an example, for what is is?
skytte71 2 years ago
Actually i think its quite obvious, that he is splitting a tecnique into two.
showing them that the primary approach, is to side-step.
Secondary approach is to have your guards ready.
And finally (as he shows next). The side-step + the arm technique, applied at the same time.
skytte71 2 years ago
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. You make a good point. Although I would hesitate to call someone an idiot just because they don't include redundancy in their technique.

taijiman7777 2 years ago
you need alot of strenght to do that what if the enemy is stronger than you?
gerardmccartney100 2 years ago
The techniques here do not require strength. They are based on the principle of "using 4 ounces to defeat a thousand pounds."
If you train well, you can cultivate a great deal of power. But it you apply it well, you don't need to use it.
Strength can sometimes be useful if your technique fails. But strength without technique will usually get you into trouble.
As my teacher said, "Maybe I have an atomic bomb. But I only use a pistol."
taijiman7777 2 years ago
for 4:03 is that about exerting strength to push them back or the shifting of the weight to that side or??
