in a way, they both were chosen. Terra picked Riku when he met him. Sora became chosen when Ven entered Sora's heart. The same method Ven used to enter Sora is a little similar to Terra giving Riku the potential

@Twilightdueler13 naw the keyblade went to sora after riku wasnt availiable in the first game. riku gave hs heart to darkness when the heartless first attacked... but good thought thou

@xXEXAMPLEZXx where did u hear that? But considering Ven was in Sora, maybe the Keyblade chose Sora when Riku wasn't available because Sora was the next best thing because of Ventus?

@Twilightdueler13 it was in the first game. thats y in the first game riku grabbed the key blade and was able to hole it without it transporting back to sora. just look up hte cut sences.

@xXEXAMPLEZXx Ya but in Kh2, sora was able to hold Way to Dawn. which in both cases, proves that Keyblade wielders can hold each other Keyblades. And if u don't believe me, Aqua gains master Eraqus's keyblade.

@Twilightdueler13 ik thats what im saying. sora didnt recieve his keyblade from ventus, but rather it changed to sora becuz his was the purest at the time of the attack on destiny island.

Wait I thought that Ruki was the one for gained the keyblade, and since Ven's heart became one with Sora he could also wield the keyblade, not Sora could just gained the keyblade. I confused
