it's incredible how great her voice was back then. there are a lot of very difficult vocal inflections she plays in this seemingly "easy to sing" song. she was like always challenging herself on even those (back then) easy songs for her to sing. Also, she looked so gorgeous, so simple, so sexy, so cute, so feminine on her pumas! I don't know why she feels she looks better now. But the important thing is the voice and THAT voice she had back then was unmatchable. Sadly I can't say the same now :(

@baretreemty Well, unfortunately people age... 'This' Mariah is very unmatchable indeed. But, I also like her today, maybe not as much as the old Mariah, but the Respect I have for her is forever. It's just, I guess, a matter of moving on and acceptance of the new things they want to offer, after all, she still has the 'old Mariah' touches on her new songs, they're just more modern. :)

There's nothing wrong with her whisper! Surprisingly, Mariah has been the only one who makes it beautiful! Too bad its determental to the human voice as it holds the vocal folds tightly together damaging them. I think that has been what has made them weaker as time goes by. Regardless this was Incredible.
