Does it make a difference whether the machine is using a blade or sharpie? She is either doing it to make money or doing her own signs which will be cheaper than taking it elsewhere. When she has saved/made 10 grand so what if the machine is worn out.
@gerrysauto Im telling you this because I own a printshop, and we actually do vinyl jobs on our plotter, these machines are not going to make you alot of money with a sharpie, the cheapest and most efficient way to make profit is by using vinyl on these coroplast signs, and for multiple (more then 10) then you'd want to screen print them and still save much more money then using a sharpie and later having to repair you plotter's motor.
that's fantastic. what did you have to do to attach the sharpie? Can you just swap it out with the cutting blade?

This would be a nice idea if the machine was made to do this, but since it is not you are going to end up wrecking the motor
