Wow... Buttons was my hero at 13. Nobody freesurfed like him ! He was so lose and free in the water . He inspired me greatly as a young kid and to this day I remember chomping at the bit to get my next copy of Surfer or Surfing Magazine to open it up and see him and or Larry Bertleman Slotted at Alla Moana . The kind of Spirit and love for the ocean these Hawaiian Pioneers exspresed was the reason why I began surfing back then and the same reason why I surf today . Aloha & Hail Hail Buttons !
