there must be something wrong with this falcon on petrol it got a 12.68 seconds my 1993 ED farimont goes 0-100 in 7.86 and 7.45 with the power mode on now my falcon has got 148kw and 350nm. Now this 99 AU should have 157kw and 360nm on petrol so it ether has an extra 400kg in the car not include the two people in it or the motor/transmission are realy sick because a ok condition 99 AU should do 0-100 in at least a 9 seconds
A properly tuned lpg falcon has as much acceleration as a petrol one. One is a lpg tuning screw adjustment that sits on the converter (twist that) the other is the ECU computer located under the glovebox..reprogram that or for a quick fix get another ECU and plug it in...bingo the falcon on lpg has way better acceleration than before
Hahaha fun video, does your school have an Systems automotive teacher? The main problem with dual fuel is you cant easily tune the car to run optimal on both fuels which skews the comparison.
Great to see a Teacher doing cool experements for a change, something that incorperates a real life component that students can relate to. COOLEST TEACHER EVER!
I don't think he was flooring it or there is something wrong with his car. I have a VS Commodore thats duel fuel and yes i do notice a difference in the way it performs but i don't think mine is that slow.
i read thease cars are 8.9 sec 0-100. there is something a wrong with your car. you might have a blocked air filter or something . you should be getting a time under 10 seconds. thease cars have way better performance than that.
The new Liquid Injection LPG systems will make MORE power and torque than petrol. Even Vapour-phase Injection systems will yield zero power loss. Old mixer-based systems compromise performance on BOTH gas and petrol due to the introduction of an intake restriction (down to 40mm).
@PoweredByCNG I have bmw e46 325i so a u say if i will convert to new lpg system will my bmw run as on petrol? but what about exhaust valves and it seats recession?
