The problem with Terran one base play (at a high level) is that T can still win off one base even 13 minutes into a game. That said, TvP is now basically an even match except in Korea, where Terran still reigns supreme.

I'm a Zerg player, yet I just confirmed my inclination that Terran is OP. Against Protoss, MVP lose nearly every engagement, from a resources standpoint, yet won the game easily with just marines. Marines are their first troop, btw.

When both guys were at 15 food, the Terran player had 4 SCV's NOT mining, and instead building. The Protoss player dropped 1 warp-in, and went back to mining, yet the Terran player had more minerals, and was streaming them in faster.

Terran are ridiculous.

@whutbrush I agree with you, but remember:

1) Grubby expanded; MVP did not. That gave MVP a sizable army/tech advantage.

2) At 7:41, Grubby's zealots WERE NOT engaging the marines b/c he a-moved towards the tanks.

3) When Grubby reengaged, he targeted the RAVEN and the TANK, but ignored the marines that were killing his stalkers. Personally, I think he engaged too early, but that's just my opinion.

I <3 Grubby, but he deserved to lose this one :(.

And the reason grubby lost is because he carelessly lost those immortals, and didn't make stalkers to kill those marines. Once the tanks where gone, a good warp-in of stalkers could have cleaned up the marines. Also, engaging with probes when there is no army is stupid. He could have continued mining with those( and had an economy) instead of a moving into medivac marines. Marines are strongest in small numbers, they're cost effective against everything.

@trolljegren: there is a difference between a 52% win rate for Terran in the seasons before and a ludicrous 56% win rate for Protoss. The win percentage went up a whole 7% in one month. That suggests the most recent patch heavily favored Protoss to the extent it makes them win most TvP games. Also, you will find only 25% of gold, platinum, diamond and masters play Terran, while about 35% play Protoss. That's a huge shift from a 38% Terran in bronze and silver. its not a gg for terran its toss mistake when last big combat toss focus attack on tank with all army. that really bad. Toss should A click attack to allow zealot attack marine while flash damge from tank can make extra dame to marine, then controll immo focus attack on tank. the result will be differene.

Here's my problem with marines: they're easily massable, extremely cheap (in resource, time and supply), and highly upgradable. It's possible to counter them, but all marine counters are late game tech. I personally think raising the cost of marines to 75 would solve the problem.
