  • Where did the name Planxty Fluharty come from? My grandmother's cousin's name was Russell Fluharty from West Virginia. Did this have anything to do with him?

  • my favorite song you've played

  • Excellent work!

  • Thank you. I really enjoy your Rich Mullins instructional videos.

  • Jeez! Now that is what I call "A Conclusion!" This maybe your best video of you playing "Planxty Fluharty" 5 stars! :D

  • Thank you. Its my favorite song to play.

  • wow, very nice! you've gotten alot better since your 1st dulcimer videos.

  • Thank you very much. I try to practice as often as I can and this is my favorite song to play.

  • Bravo!!!!!

    I loved it!

I especially loved the string bending.

Your are on your way to being a world class player

God bless you and thanks for playing my song.

  • Thank you very much. It really means a lot that the composer of this song likes the arrangement I made. I like to use as much of my instrument as possible so I tend to drop the songs down to the bottom of my instrument. The only thing I dont like is the fact that my dulcimer does not have as nice of a tone as yours does.

  • You're getting really good! How often do you get to practice now?

  • I try to practice as often as I can. Usually I can get an hour or 2 of playing in a day.

  • is it like night there or are there just

    no lights on?

  • It was night and I had 2 lights on but they were far away. If I put the light on directly over the dulcimer you wouldnt have been able to tell what notes I was hitting. I have got to figure out how I am going to do video lessons. I need the best camera angle and lighting for the lessons to be perfect.

  • lessons ive almost learned how to

play the song in messing arund on my dulcimer

    just by waching it

    is that what you mean?

  • I am going to post very slowed down versions of a few songs so you can learn how I play it note by note. I will also make sure my dulcimer is in tune before each video so you can follow along by ear if you cannot see the notes I am hitting. I am experimenting with different camera angles and lighting to find the best way that people can view the notes I am actually hitting.
