U2 - Angel of Harlem HQ (live 1988) with lyrics

This was at the Dominion Theatre in London, the venue on the junction of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street - where "We Will Rock You" is currently being staged. This gig was called "Smile Jamaica" and was to raise money for Jamaica following its recent earthquake. I remember watching this on TV at the time, and the press reported that people were camping outside the venue just to see U2.

Back from Disney in '85.. Broken bus full of visitors and I had a big bottle of Vodka.. We sang eventually and, as I had an accent, I was pushed with the usual "whoop whoops" Even though I am from Northern Ireland, I was told that a certain black, attractive and single woman would like me to come to her room.. If only my wife of 2 days wasn't there, I (retrospectively) would have taken a chance..

I was there, that night. Bono was great. He was at his powerhorse best, at that time and I remember thinking that Larry was like a man possessed. He gave the drums a right wracking.

Thanks for my daily dosage of U2, Elin! Love watching the early days when I wasn't aware of U2. This was the year my son was born prematurely and his first few years was touch and go. Obviously I had other pressing things on my mind.

I'm a big U2 fan now and trying to catch up with all things U2!!!

Oh, and my 22 year old son is also a big fan as well!
