My original footage was clear and sharp even after I converted to MPEG 2. Does anyone know why it goes all chuncky when YouTube converts to Flash? It only seems to happen when I do any special effects like lower contrast on some of the shots. How can I prevent this???
MPEG 2 should work fine .
Try converting to MPG 4 and get as high as a bit rate you converter will allow .
Bump up the audio as well . DO NOT go to 320x240 Go to 640 or to 720X480
My 3 minute vids are usually around 422 Mbs .
Also try to avoid transition between scenes .
I have colour corrected many of my vids with no issues.
What editing program are you using?
Your MPEG 2 size should be fine.
Just thinking out loud BUT I believe YouTube doesn't like fast movement hense choppy vid.
