i just got off the phone ordering my 9700. its the one to get. not only the trackpad is better. also better operating system and overall higher quality. GET THE BOLD 9700!

I was torn between this decision as well, though this was between the Bold 9000 and the 9700. I'd say go for the BOLD 9700, because the trackball gathers dust and is a real b*itch to clean every six months.

Yes it supports msn the devise used during review was a prerelease phone with prerelease OS which did not. The 9700 supports almost all major IM services.

this phone is much better than the my Touch 3g.. seriously, you're going to get tired of all the apps eventually and touch screen gets annoying after awhile. Sometimes you're going want buttons to text with.. especially if you're a major texter.

i love BB but unfortunately is to slow for the web i will change to palm webos which is base on linux and is super fast when BB come out with something faster i change back ,, every one talk about speaker track ball ect but nothing about the processor the fast a goes on the web none of that not good BB google android is out and the fabulous palm webos thanks god no more windows mobile for palm BB i got faith they'll came out with something better soon.

Spoken like a true iphone fanboy. Either way, 9700 looks awesome, what i dont like is the "bold" printing at the back, it looks cheesy i think. I think the tour 9600 (but to bad it doesnt have wifi) and bold 9000 is the best looking bb out there. Im a bit bias, and im against 8900 just because they dont have 3g.

Why is it a nice feature to have to open your device to get the micro SD? The Bold 9000 had it on the chrome edge. That's a NICE feature.
