beautiful and talented. Farmer's Daughter is seriously depressing and i never want to hear it again. I hear there is a lot of money in depression these days.
The first time I heard this she was singing just with two guitars...her and someone else...that's it. To much instrumental in this version...Crystal you have a very unique and amazing voice...that is what people fell in love with...please don't drown your voice out..it is the best part!
Is there anybody out there who is positive that Hold On will be corrected in the final mix. It needs a lot of tweaking esp. the chorus where the loud music drowns Crystal out however with the right mixing and editing it will be a definite hit for Crystal so I am asking do the higher ups realize the work Hold On needs. I'm guessing they do because they did an excellent job on what seems to be the final version of Farmer's Daughter on My Space..it's beautiful!!
Farmer's Daughter is absolutely awesome now for the cd!! I am sure they will take Hold On and fix it; the main problem is in the chorus whereupon it's too noisy and Crystal is drowned out! I think it's okay to release Hold On first; you don't necessarily release the best song first; you hold on to some real gems and I'm telling you Hold On will be a HUGE HIT! Just needs some cleaning up & for Crystal's vocals to come through..we all love memories & sometimes it's all that's left..

Any version whatsoever of Farmer's Daughter which I am sure will be fantastic in it's final mixing will be worlds better than Lee's title track Living It Up which is a diaster! Please let's all remember that we have Crystal here and she is brilliant; no record company on Earth could destroy this incredibly gifted woman! The Buffalo Springfield classic For What It's Worth is something Crystal could really sink her teeth into! Lonely catchy again/Mine all Mine instant country music hit! Mason etc!!
@spaceman24 What do you mean by "FD needs that stuff"? Crystal is amazing live (Lee lacks TOTALLY in that dept. and average otherwise) however Crystal is also an amazing recording artist. I am absolutely posiitve she will be superfamous; she is the total package; she has a totally unique and truly remarkable vocal + an incredibly deep songwriter, she cuts beneath the surface in ways that Lee and others like him (and there are many!) can only dream of! Farmer's Daughter will SOAR WORLDWIDE!!

@spaceman24 No way did Farmer's Daughter lose it's intensity! Give it a chance to hear it in it's eniirety final version on the CD; it will be a HUGE HIT! It speaks worldwide to victims of child abuse which runs rampant; the lyrics are amazing; Crystal's vocals are amazing and even if you like the acoustic version better, in the long run it doesn't matter..either version will be running top on the charts! In fact, for the radio they tend to like more instruments also. It will surely rock!!

@LitZena we really love "hold on" but seem out of place in the album because essentialy this is supposed to be a country cd. as described by @kamikzeVX, hold on sounds like a Kara/Chad pop, mainstream combo-doesn't sound like crystal at all!! it seem like they forced her to do this song and she agreed in order to please and cater to more mainstream listeners...
If anyone knows please tell me why Farmer's Daughter starts this way; will it start the way it does on her original on the cd..f++ing sick and tired, etc.. I definitely like the original start of the song much better. That being said though I think her CD will be fantastic and can't wait to hear her take on Buffalo Sprinfield's For What It's Worth, an amazing classic that would really be cool for Crystal! Love the CD cover. I also love Crystal's acoustic sound but unless you're established it's difficult to get airplay, we’ll have to wait for the unplugged mtv show :-) I quite like the changes to FD and the final mix will be less complicated, suspect all the tracks will end up simpler. Up to the public soon, Crystal and Brian have certainly enriched my life with their music this year so hope it's a commercial success for her and they both have the opportunity to enrich a global audience.
The producer of Crystal's album, David Bendeth, tweeted several comments asking people to ignore these samples that are out on places like HitPredictor...
They were released BEFORE he completed the mixing and mastering of the record, which is now done...
Crystal replied that these SAMPLES only give a gist of what the songs are like, but that "clean" versions will be on the album/CD...
@spaceman24 fear not my friend, live and acoustic versions of songs often have more emotion...Crystal will still be Crystal when she hits the stage. have you heard her live versions the past month? they came after the recording.
