It has not been proven that The Oera Linda book has been written bij Cornelis over de Linden or any other person living at this time. The only way to verify the book is to learn the original language. I`m working on a new english translation that includes the original lettertype and a translation under each line, so ity becomes possible to verify the original text for each individual interested in this text. One doesn't even need to learn the original "language", one only has to study for example the style in which it is written, to recognize the typical 19th century thoughts behind this magnificant fraud. I'm quite curious how your translation will work out! However, the text has already been translated into Dutch, so for a few decades every Dutchman can read it, laugh at the stupid equivokes.....

(f.e. Kreta comes from kreet, which is Dutch for holler... because the Cretans used to holler at the Frisian people when they sailed by... Yeah right!) and shiver because of the racist pieces in this text. And I guess you attend a university? All universities in Holland regard this as a fraud, and see it as an interesting example of 19th century Frisian nationalism. But it's one of the best frauds in Dutch history, that's for sure!

Whether it was over de Linden or H. Halbertsma, doesnt matter.

Geachte Emiel Visser. Aangezien u een nederlandse naam heeft ga ik ervan uit dat u ook nederlands spreekt. Het Oera Linda boek is naar mijn mening omgeven door zeer veel misverstanden. Of dat fantastisch is weet ik niet, maar ik heb geen reden gevonden waarom het niet authentiek zou kunnen zijn behalve dat er geen andere bronnen zijn dan behalve één enkele afbeelding van een vaas uit een museum in Athene die ik in de nederlandse vertaling heb toegevoegd.

Dan ben ik zeer benieuwd naar die afbeelding op de door u genoemde attische vaas; en ook waarom die afbeelding het bewijs zou zijn voor de authenticiteit van deze duidelijk 19e eeuwse tekst. Een vriendin van me studeert Nederlands, en mensen uit haar jaar hebben er onderzoek naar gedaan, conclusie: deze tekst is niet te verklaren als je er niet van uitgaat dat het 19e eeuws is. Dit blijkt naar haar zeggen vooral uit het taalgebruik, die vaak alleen maar als 19e eeuws is te plaatsen.
