I have to admit, I was a little shocked when he told me he was tired of college and wanted to join, but I have never been so proud of him as I was at graduation. As the mother of a Marine, I can say your husband is not there for nothing.  My son is in Anbar Provine which was once one of the most violent areas. They have just handed over control to the Iraqi Police and it has gone well so far. They have trained them to protect themselves and their city is growing. The children are able to play safely. As you know, many of the provinces have been turned over to the Iraqis and soon the rest will be also. This is all thanks to men like your husband.

First of all Thank Your Son for what he is doing. I have great respect for all service members and I am proud to tell anyone that my hubby is serving. I know our troops aren't over there for nothing. I was saying if they pull out the troops that all the ones killed or injured did it for what? Nothing! That's how I would feel if they pull out. We should keep doing what we are doing over there.
