  • I use this device to record and play live with my drumkit. 7 Mics for toms. 2 overhead mics with phantom power.

  • This sounds great for a live mix! I don't know why the Edirol 16MDX is not available anymore. It seems like a great mixer and I like the break out box too

  • @svenghoulieil

This device is still available, including cakewalk Sonar LE, Sometimes on ebay second hand. Look at musicstore for example

    Jasper

  • Die Kanäle sind einzeln abgegriffen vom Live-Mischpult.

  • I don't exactly understand what you mean. Can you explain what you meant, and maybe in english? :)

    Danke fur die reaction!, Jasper

  • Exactly, 4 mic inputs and 12 line inputs. So I connected each channel from the main mixing console´s inserts (or direct outputs) to the Edirol´s inputs.

  • hey id just like to ask, where do you use the snake cable?is it for the live mixing console output?like soundcraft or yamaha?whatver you are using when recording live band?going to the module?are you getting the signal from the mixer or direct from the instrument?using that snake cable?its very nice,im thinking to buy this unit,nd im using a soundcraft mixer for my live band, and id like to record live,is it possible to get the out from the soundcraft mixer going to the edirol m16dxo module?thanks

  • You can use the inserts (tip=send, ring=return) with a customized cable (tip and ring bridged) or the direct outs of each channel of your mixing console an connect them to the edirol´s module.

  • thanks for reply mate is the connectors of customized cable you made are all balanced or unbalance ?cheers.

  • You need balanced connectors if your mixing console does not have direct outs for each channel in order to bridge the INSERTS SEND and RETURN by soldering them inside the connector. On the other end of the cable unbalanced connectors for the Edirol´s module inputs.

  • translation to english please, it sounds cool.

  • cooles Teilchen - was ist das für Musik? Der Text is ziemlich nice^^

(obwohl USB 2.0)

  • what language is this? sounds french and german

  • german

  • Yes, you can even use the M-16DX as Cubase remote control :)

    For use as external soundcard:

Channel 13/14 will be activated as USB stereo output channels, with full ability to use the channel and master settings for direct effect on what you hear.

  • can you connect the mixer to your PC? not the input box but the mixer so you can adjust what you hear from your PC speakers with the mixer? I know there's a USB port on the input box but if you use your mixer does it affect the sound you hear?

  • i am in same position:P

  • I'm thinking of buying this. Your video really sounds good. It's a big help in making my decision. Thanks for posting.
