Thank you. Taking Simvastatin (Zocor) and within one week started to have problem in my shoulder...doctor took me off and had another blood test, everything was fine, no problems with the statins in liver. I went to health food store and am taking multi-vitamins with CoQ10, Fish oil, Niacinamide. I'm also taking extra Vitamin D for bone density. Change diet and decided to eat oatmeal at least 3 times per week..I walk daily (mail carrier) hopefully my cholesterol will get lower.
Great Video. I just had to diagnose myself with rhabdomyolysis because my doctor wasn't listening to my complaints about muscle pain in my leg. Great explanation to why it happens.
Just read all the comments below. What you must realise is that statins should only be taken for patients who are at a high risk from a 'cardiovascular event' (eg a heart attack or stroke). This includes post MI, diabetic patients with CHD and patients with pre existing CHD such as angina, TIA etc. Statins have been tesetd on millions of these type of patients and have should excellent benefits of reducing CV events. Yes statins should be used sensibly and they DO have known side effects
Spot on Dr. Walsh. I work for a company called Real Natural Remedies. Our mission is to try and help the millions of americans who take statins and are experiencing serious side effects. We have natural ingredient alternatives that can lower cholesterol but avoid the side effects. Real Natural Remedies
If your federal government blatantly lies to the American public about something as important as going to WAR because of alleged possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction which resulted in over 1million deaths of innocent civilians, do you REALLY think that they wouldn't lie to you in order to please a filthy rich pharmaceutical company that makes political campaign contributions and bribes for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS !!! Are you on Lipitor or what!!!???
HELP...I took 10mg of Lipitor for 4 years to lower my cholesterol. It as 200 at the time and my GP recommended that I start statin therapy. In January of this year (2010), I began forgetting to take my daily dose. Muscle/Joint pain set in. I decided to stop completely until I could get back in to see my doctor. I have become extremely ill since January, memory loss, fatigue, depression, muscle and joint lain, legs hurt if I walk around the block, headaches, neck/back pain. Lately, if I am
I truly believe that statins caused my father to have a stroke. At 75 his doctor said he had some plaque in his arteries (never effected him from what I saw) and prescribed a statin. After that it was all downhill, muscle wasting, weight loss, pain, eventually onto oxygen, amnesia, dementia and eventually a fatal bleeding stroke at 79.
woohoo!! you go 7299MM. Doc in emergency dept today admitted that a particular brand is the worst culprit for muscle problems.. 2 hours earlier the local gp said not very often side effects occur.......... i'm living proof of the side effects... i took the liberty of not taking them anymore too.
Excellent video - great job for posting - my dad is no statins and he has no idea how bad they can be - i'm passing info like yours onto my mother so she can try to convince him to check further into it. Thanks again.
Great video, My mum has a heart condition and is on statins. My friend has leg pains recently had a stroke and is on statins. What problems will the latest batch of "anti-cholesterol" drugs? I am passing on the info.
actually that is how I injured my abs and leg :(
It's not because of statin though, it's because of a drug named Pritor.
I don't realise how can they reccoment this!?!

My blood pressure and cholesterol were high until I started drinking Mona Vie with the red top. I'm not the only one it has helped either.
People should go to juiceberg's channel if they want to inquire about the MV. I'm telling ya, it's amazing!

Be suspicious, be very suspicious.
WHY doesn't the doctor get you to change you diet first?
They are just dishing them out like smarties because the government TELLS them to. ( Plus they get paid )
I will NOT take them, so my doc can shove them up his arse.
WHY were they rushed out so quick?
The NHS never has enough money, does it?
The government does NOT want you to live longer, the welfare state cannot afford it.
THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE!!!!!
