first of all don't freakout its a truck don't press the brakes that hard you are over breaking so start slowling down ahead of time. unless don't drive at all.
Ok it is a big truck don't panic you just got to press the brake slower and ahead of time because it takes time to slow down driving that type of truck is easy.
She doesn't understand that there is a longer reaction time for the air the reach the air maxi's. Air brakes are under about 60 to 125psi, hydraulic brakes are about 5200 psi. Which do you think reacts quicker? They ask you this question when you take your CDL test. Ps........ I hate you Penske for not having air brakes anymore on your rental trucks!
i does not need park it has air brakes air when you park it just dump the air out of the air tanks and will lock up the brakes then set the parking brake.
@chris66712 Correction you are not "dumping" the air out of the tanks. When you release or pull you parking valve "Yellow" You are charging the air chambers and yes you do lose some air in the process. But when you do loose air out of your tanks at below 40 psi your brakes are set by spring pressure.
By the way it does have park their is a yellow button that say park so pull the yellow button after you put it in neutral.
