  • Never ceases to amaze me how people these days are able to squeeze every last drop of power out of a 6502-based machine and whip up cool shit like this in these demos. I never saw this level of creativity back in the 80's! :)

  • Incredible!

  • voll toll!

  • That animation is so fluid it almost looks rotoscoped.

  • Animation? All REALTIME sir! ;-)

  • Ah, worship of a Miner diety!

    All hail Jay!

  • atari don´t stop AMAZING ME!!!

  • its a normal atari 8 bit computer?

  • Yes, it works on a normal Atari 800XL 64K

  • the music look like a 16 bit computer ._. like a st

  • It could be some similarity. But, it's 8-bit POKEY sound.

  • the st series had worse sound the the 8bit atari!

  • but not the same graphics 1313

  • @1770studios

You have it backwards. The ST sounds like an 8-bit computer. That sound chip was designed in 1978.

The thing is, it's actually less advanced than the POKEY sound chip in this demo.

  • That twisting strand looks like it's alive!

    Really nice!

  • Are you trying to say that the 8-bit atari is not an 8-bit computer? Its powered by a Motorola 6502. Its 8-bit.

  • MOS Technology made the 6502, although it was designed by ex-Motorola engineers.

  • a 8 bit cant do it? it can, royaleplace.

i know this old machines. you can get the hell out of it if you want.

  • It's hardly to believe that 8bit computer with 1.77 MHz could do this. I've got other demos. like checkerboard and others. music should be in stereo (hardware addon)

  • Whoa-hoh. Split cube at the end was a new one. Nicely done!

  • best computer ever!!!

  • alucinante!!!!
