  • I Funking love it when Funk Brothers n Sisters Funkin comment on my Funk post...it Funks me up and brings me back the Funk here!

  • nice spliff long haired sucker...

  • This is rock, R&B, FUNK fusion....you can't label this kind of music...it is what it is and it is Nasty, toe jam, woman hasn't washed or douched that thing in a coupla months, ass sweat music!! Just plain good ole funkadelic!! Long live George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic!!!

  • the best version of this live is on the P-Funk Earth tour album.

  • There seem to be two people who don't like EVERY PFunk Video... Now I'm starting to think there were two people to high to use their mouse properly...

PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE ROCK!

  • @PiperOndioline Those two people are Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk and Rumpofsteelskin. Star Child has been after them for decades...

  • It don't better than this!!!

  • if this was the show at the Astrodome, then my parents were there, probably passing a joint around

  • I want George to play at my funeral. It's the way to go, baby!

  • i grew up on this cold blooded groovy ass shit i was 11 years old when iseen the mother ship land dayuum!!! Kansas city mo

  • musical geniuses.i love them

  • hmmm. who's this person that dislikes the funk here....

  • @bustindustin01 lmao..he's deaf, baby!!

  • BORN, LIVE & WILL DIE ON THE ONE!!!

  • Dr.Funkenstein can never be CLONED!!!!!

  • "Good GOD , we goin fuck with your mind tonight" and yes George you sure did. Mind-bending!!!

  • Pullin up the last leg.... If I could travel back in time, I would see these guys and Hendrix.

  • Man this type of funk would scare the shit out of main stream. Thats the only reason why they didnt sell like dredd Lepplin and such. They were essentially a rock band with a jazz, R&B sheen.

  • Sho preciate th post ben funkin since 76 but cn sumbody hip me ta weah kin i find choclit city

  • @Idawa61 You may be able to find it Amazon. What region are you in, because in California - the San Francisco Bay Area, there is a store called Rasputins, that sell classic cds, records, movies, etc. After seeing George Clinton on Unsung, I know I am building up my collection - to show my grandkids what's up, when they get older. I don't think he's even getting royalties for any of the music he made.

  • Nobody does it like these guys...

  • CG. DR.FUNKENSTEIN CLINTON PFD.

  • Awsome show at The summit In houston Tx I also was there It was defenitly was in another era!!! No music in this new era can compare to the funk mob.

  • 7.20 when the backin singer adds the soul, awesome.

  • I was there!!!!!!

  • @rdlundy Lucky you!! I always wanted to see Dr. Funkenstein live. This is the closest I'll ever see GC live.

  • dr funkenstein nothn 2 funkwit will get funked up

  • Funkadelia via Dr. Funkenstein - George Clinton

  • stellar rendition!

  • get down brutha glenn goins!R.I.P.

  • well the version off the PFunk Earth Tour live album was about 15 minutes long but they were in the zone at this one too

  • 3:00..."We gonna turn the mother****** out tonight,ya'll!" PFunk 4ever!

  • If you got funk you got style !! total urge overkill

  • This could possibly be the best thinh Ive ever heard/seen!!!! I wish I was around to have the Funk era

  • @bathinapefanatic8 all i can tell is they were like super heroes, and the video (this is one of the few clear ones) give you about 20 percent of the juice you felt being there, and trust me the sound would be inside you for a week. remember there were no computers on stage making sound, real musicians playing every note, every voice,..it was something to behold.

  • @DONNIMETROPOLIS313 Thank you for your funky insight!!

  • @bathinapefanatic8 - we were their for you bros...I caught the Funk train right on funkin time!

  • Why the hell isn't funk popular anymore? This is so much better than the Top 40 sludge being produced today. How could we have let funk die?

I just made myself sad :(

  • @sleepybrownbear - FUNK IS NOT DEAD it's living in my mind, in my vinyl on my shelf, on my cassettes, reel to reels and in MP3's...I GOTS DA FUNK, OVER HERE, - - Did you let it die in you?

  • @CYRAPHYM FUNK IS NOWHERE NEAR DEAD. I know plenty of funky mothers out here in

Santa Cruz Ca, so don't worry you aren't alone. Keep the groove!

  • @willthethrill129 - FUNK CAN NEVER DIE! FUNK IS EVERYWHERE! FUNK IS IN EVERY GENRE, LISTEN CLOSELY AND YOU FEEL THE FUNK IN NEARLY EVERY SONG...IF YOU DON'T GET THE FUNK THEN YOU'RE FUNKED UP! PEACE, LOVE & FUNK U VERY MUCH!...Disco Dave, Toronto Canada!

  • @CYRAPHYM I forget who I saw wearing the t-shirt in '94... Either it was P-Nut Johnson or maybe it was Clip (Michael Payne), but the shirt said: "Funk didn't die, it just went to the bathroom".

  • @CYRAPHYM Never my friend! I'm an 80s metal fanatic but I know where the roots lay. Late at night its back to that dirty ol' P-funk!

  • @sleepybrownbear funk never dies, it multiplies,

  • @sleepybrownbear I dont know bout you but I saw P-Funk play in San Jose a couple months ago and I can tell you that the funk isn't dead in California and it never will be

  • Praise the Funk Lord........

  • Umm oooooook then...lol.

  • possibly the best version of this song i've heard...

  • this is possibly the best version of this song I've heard...

  • hey 898106, is this BOOGIE on the bass??

  • @rafaelsam ya thats Boog.

  • thanx

  • they had the founding members back then?

  • HORNS!!!!!!!Classic!-That takes me back

  • god loves dr. funkenstein

  • YEAH BABY *dances*

  • this wha im talki bout

  • ...george clinton... head maggot and funk overlord....

  • holy shit.

  • MC Hammer said it best - "Can't touch dis"...

  • THE TROMBONES

  • BOOTSY AND THE GUITAR PLAYER

  • I think I heard the bone player quote "cisco kid" during his solo....

  • Lol

  • Dayum George was a cool mofo on stage! Ultimate showmman for the '70s era my goodness. I see whole lotta folks copying his sh*t after viewing this vid. i.e. Prince....

  • nice guitar/bass riff

  • This is for me the best track of the long lasting journey with George and his funky family........ long live the mothership connection yeah

  • man george couldnt dance or hardly sing, well maybe alittle. But he could promote and keep the band making magic. He is straight tripping, but its SO working.

  • this is the shit....all the way funk......no one can duplicate

  • In the pocket.

  • KISS ME ON MY EGO!

  • I got most of the P Funk records. "The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein" was my favorite. The ultimate in funkiness. By that time they were knee deep in funk. So much talent.. Bernie Worrell on keyboards, Bootsy thumpin' on bass, Maceo and the Horny Horns..

  • i suggest trying to find "the ultimate turd"

  • Man let me tell ya. It's was 77-78 I can't remember but there was so much smoke you couldn't see them on the stage. "Hit me in the protons baaaby"

  • Comment removed

  • i heard they used to smoke and be real chill at concerts and stuff, i wonder what happened...things are so crazy now especially most of the music

  • I went to my 1st of many P-FUNK concerts back in 1979 and I'm still high.. " Funk and Roll Baby" (^__~)

  • Gettin' off on his own shit..I love it!!! Todays music scene sucks. Wheres the fun not to mention funk? P-Funk rules

  • Home of the extra-terrestrial brothers

  • We love you DR.Funkenstein!!!!!

  • Hit me with the One and then, if you like, hit me again!

  • 3:53, funny as hell.

  • I cracked up when I saw that too!

  • Micro-biologically speaking...LOVE IT!

  • ...yeah he's smokin' bud, probably 2 take the edge off from the coke...not 2 mention the acid!...GO GEORGE!...what a party BOBBA!...

  • Who is the bone player?

  • Clay Lawrey.

  • Uncut Fonk....

    priceless tape!

    TFP

  • what a cool trombone solo

  • Agreed... cat can blow. The whole horn section is incredibly tight, the lyrics are inspired weirdness ["Kiss me on my ego"], the backing vocals, as has been observed, are superb, the bass locks in with the drums... phenomenal performance. And what a stage show, with the costumes & lighting, plus the onstage presence... whew.

  • Wasn't Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley part of this tour?

  • NWKBricks1 (2 weeks ago) Show Hide 0 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Wasn't Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley part of this tour?

Yes but they had left at this point and were touring exclusively as members of Bootsy's Rubber Band.

  • is he smoking marijuana?!

  • to make it clear from 1:05 to 1:14!

  • make it to 1:22. Some straight up supernatural funk doing something good to my eardrums.

  • Dude... I'm totally stealing that line. ;)

  • At 1:05 in houston texas in 1977 when this was taped was possibly the funkiest moment in the history of the world!

  • That Bassline Is Money. SICK SHIT. FUNK ON!

  • aw I get so hung up on bones

  • ...and funk IZ it's own reward,...

  • this is the funkiest thing i have ever heard in my life.

  • Classic song and performance. The female background singers are on-point as well.

  • And Rap Music was invented by "Whom"..."When"???

  • lol we are not denying that black people were instrumental in hiphop, but sheesh the stuff that was made before that is pretty damn good,

  • My point was that George and others were laying down some pretty fly "lines" way before the 80s.

  • Rap music ws not invented by George Clinton he created the FOUNDATION for funk music along with isacc hayes james brown and rugus thomas.thru funk hip hop was born from cool herc.

  • Fair enough.

  • best

  • We love to funk you, Funkenstein

    Your funk is the best!

  • this is the shizzzzit!!!!!
