@martyeo You jackass. How is that an elite home? I am currently building a home just like that and it doesn't cost any more. Sure a few details are expensive, but you can skip those and still end up with an almost identical house. Just a matter of thinking it through and using different materials than the standard crap they put up.
This commercial doesn't say "mass market" to me. The house they show doesn't look average, it looks like a designer house - and took me a while to decide whether I was looking at a house or commercial building. It almost says "The Leaf is an elite club for the rich".
That said, I really want the Leaf to succeed. Hopefully I'll be able to afford one.
@martyeo I kind of think that they mostly do that for the aesthetic appeal to the commercial I guess. It's kinda like if their was a dog in the commercial, it probably wouldn't be a mixed breed instead of a pure bread. I think the real issue that I see is that; what are people that live in apartments or that don't have a garage going to do? I mean, I suppose you could just go to some public fill up but I don't know about that-charge wouldn't be that good.
@txtabby Just a second there billy - as they say. The only reason why the leaf isn't thought of capable of long travel is because you would have to stop for a 20-30 minute charge every 100 miles and not to mention the fact that those charging stations haven't even been made (at least not in those interstate rest-stops in between cities but, once these stations get built I think it even isn't really a problem for it to travel and besides most road trips are about 200-400 miles. You would be
@txtabby making the same amount of rest stops with the same amount of time going in a gasoline car if you really think about it. Gasolines cars and especially older ones, need to cool off every now and then between rest-stops.
@besonix The Volt is a great concept and I hope it sells well but the 40 mile electric range just isnt enough so im buying the 100 mile range Leaf since i travel well under 100 miles per day but more than 40 and dont want to have to use gas. Ideally id have the Leaf as a daily driver and a Volt for longer trips but until i can afford both ill use my Camry for the rare out of town trip.
Does anyone know who does the music in this ad? Or where that information can be found? Thank you.

Chevrolet Volt will be better than this, cause it won't run out of electricity at long range.

The Leaf isn't meant to be like the Volt. Different concept. Volt can be driven across country, the Leaf is a urban car for short commutes only.

Better then the EV1 ads that were shown but not as good as the EV1 ad that was never shown. Nice.
