Chris, I've been fooling around with this piece, just wondering what transcription you were using. Tabpigs or Stropes. I was thinking about purchasing the stropes but didn't want to spend the money for half a song.
haha this is what i got confused with death by reputation, because Itunes changed the title for some reason when I updated the album info. Sounds good!
a quick question. i've tried playing this song on my 6 string, but it just doesn't sound the same. i'm not sure whether or not i'm playing the piece right or whether or not the sound is more dependent on the twelve string guitar.
Been listening to leo for ten years now and am quite sick of hearing him play these tunes...but to hear others who can hear the song so clearly and dissect it neatly and cleanly and put it in a whole new "jive"( for lack of a better word) is simply wonderful and refreshing...Ever thought of making a cd? Ever approached monterey peninsula artists and seen about the copyright...i'd love to have a version by someone else playing leo's tunes..it reminds me of how beautiful they really are.
That was a pleasure to listen to. I stumbled on your video while comparing the Kodak Zi8 to the Flip Ultra HD, but got completely caught up in your playing. Keep up the great work and consider me subscribed.
Dude! Your picking hand is SO PERFECT! I am just now taking lessons after 6 years of "winging it", and nobody told me I wasn't supposed to have the palm of my hand resting on the body of the guitar. Now I have to learn not to do that!
you don't have to not have your palm resting on the body of the guitar. in fact, when i play leo i almost always have my palm resting on the body of the guitar. it's a personal preference thing.
As you'd like to improve perhaps you should try dampening the bass strings with your RH-palm. This may feel unusual at the beginning but it will certainly benefit rythmic playing because of putting accent on the 'muted notes'.
Respect man !, great cover , and the quality is amazing, one of the best i saw here, can you please tell me whats your gear ?, i see for audio you have a zoom ?,
Wow. That was really really nice. Very accurate with great tone. I actually like a lot of Leo's songs played a little bit down tempo. This works well that way. Thanks for posting.
Many of Leo's tunes that I have taken on IMHO sound better slowed down a bit. I read somewhere that Leo Himself was quoted as saying that he plays too fast. Hey "Too Fast" is also one of my fav's!

@yeungjin This song is meant to be played on a 12 string. You could play it on a 6 string, but in my opinion is would sound very thin.

It sounds great ! your right hand technique is very interesting. Plus it's a good tune from Leo - came a long way since the armadillo ...

I think you might be a little hard on yourself. I can't hear much room for improvement. Very , very nice playing.
I think in one of the Mark Hanson books is the quote from Leo about playing too fast.
