  • I wouldn't mind self pitying Muslim historians blaming all of India's problems on Britain if they actually knew what they were fucking talking about.

ALL of the atrocities in India were accidential, and most of them were under the east india company's rule, not Britain!

  • There is no point in blaming the british.. If we have to blame someone,we have to blame the tendency of us not using the independence properly .

If we really have to use the independence, we should first respect people of other states and try to develope things for our people. I'm not talking about establishing a BPO in the the middle of a village and calling the village as a developed place.

  • silly!

read the "our heritage" section on the company website and then feel the pride...

  • This is an absolutely poorly researched and misattributed quote. Usually

the "quotation" is preceded by: "His words were to this effect". The

source is often cited as "The Awakening Ray, Vol. 4 No. 5, The Gnostic

    Centre ... Reproduced in Niti issue of April, 2002 at p. 10 - a

periodic publication of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Delhi." So it seems

that this "quotation" is really a paraphrase (or a reading-between-the-lines) from "The Awakening Ray", without correct attribution.

  • "It is a general misconception that this is a part of Lord McCauley's

speech to British Parliament b/c Lord McCauley arrived in India on

10 June 1834 and returned to England in early 1838. If in 1835 he

was in India then how could he have delivered a speech in the British

Parliament? Let me also add that he arrived in India by a 3 month long

journey by ship, so there is no chance that the Lord made a quick visit

to England" The 1st commercial flight in the world was in 1914, in Florida, USA

  • @Jimmyretired you Britisher you peoples are really asshole

  • Hoax quote, Macaulay wasnt even in England in 1835, actual quote, from his 1835 paper follows, 'It is impossible for us, with our limited means, to attempt to educate the body of the people. We must at present do our best to form a class who may be interpreters between us and the millions whom we govern; a class of persons, Indian in blood and colour, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect....

  • @drunkest100 .....To that class we may leave it to refine the vernacular dialects of the country, to enrich those dialects with terms of science borrowed from the Western nomenclature, and to render them by degrees fit vehicles for conveying knowledge to the great mass of the population.

  • @drunkest100 Condescending but not malicious

  • it's a hoax...the quote is fabricated, just google it and u can find...
