  • There have been many debates as to who plays what part in the guitar solos in "are you goin to be in my dreams tonight." they are as follows; Paul, George, John. and so it goes on till the end each taking three turns. If you listen you can hear the change quite clear and if you know the music of these guys you will know the three diferent styles.

  • abbey road is definitely my fave beatle record :) i do love all the songs.

  • Well the caption is correct, but you start it with Mean Mr. Mustard... pretty sure I'm gonna hear the brass soar, playing You Never Give Me Your Money, but I won't know where it came from. Wish this video started with the RIGHT song.

  • Este álbum, apenas este album tem mais sucessos que a maioria das bandas que já existiram no planeta!

  • I'm still convinced that it's Clapton at 8:47- 8:49.

I know everything documented about the solos rules this out.

    Anyone know a Beatle?

  • check out my video of the top 10 songs off abbey road. and the rest of my channel its totally dedicated to classic rock

  • You Never Give Me Your Money/Because/Sun King IS NOT part of the medley... it starts with Mean Mr. Mustard, it's the first of the extra-short tracks.

  • @ChocolateHoneycomb Then you haven't heard how You Never Give Me Your Money transpose into Sun King and from Sun King to Mean Mr. Mustard! Abbey Road Medley song list: You Never Give Me Your Money Sun King Mean Mr. Mustard Polythene Pam She Came in Through the Bathroom Window Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End Her Majesty (I count it as a part of the medley though it's a bonus track)
  • I just played this backwards. Still sounds awesome.

  • Just found the abbey road 1979 apple album! WOOHOO good time! god bless everyone and the beatles!

  • Great music

  • When i had my babies recently, and then found the woman i love the most my voice has changed, and i'm the same person...I believe this story is just a joke, the beatles probably wanted to have a little fun... Paul might have had other reasons for "changing" a bit his way of singing...like trying a new style ? or perhaps there's a link with smoking ? or else...I really think he's the real one

  • 47 dislikes... nice try Bieber..

  • @MsNikkyta Lol

  • Weird Al Yankovic should totally make a polka cover of the Abbey Road medley!

  • Best piece of music ever written... abbey road.

although i would have to say maxwell silver is the only flaw. the song does not belong on the album--and John would agree.

  • @jmill2828er Johns an idiot, Paul dominates abbey road, silver hammer kills johns earlier, similarly twisted but retarded run for your life filler, john's position in abbey road along with most his later works was nonsensical drug induced 'psychedellic' bullshit...he did write great melodys to save his gibberish he called lyrics tho give him that.

  • @AzBboy If John wasn't there, at least fifty percent of the album wouldn't exist. As for the 'gibberish' comment, I'll let it slide but remember to bite the gag whilst Nurse applies the electrodes.

  • @toysrmuff fifty percent of the fillers wouldnt exist...wouldn't brag.

  • @AzBboy lol no

  • @Appelsappel haha just another brainless star struck fan....you wreak lennon no doubt...

  • @AzBboy you know, I've never spent a single moment thinking what it could've been without John or Paul or whatever, I just think they've made a good album here..

  • @72padawan

sounds the like the same voice to me. A lot of people after they heard about the "Paul is Dead" myth start hearing things that are all in their head. Besides they all sound different, you gonna say that George was dead because his voice had changed between 1962 and 1970, Something or some of the stuff on All Things Must Pass don't sound the same as Don't Bother Me or Roll Over Beethoven

  • @72padawan He is really NOT DEAD!! Even me, as a beatles expert knows that all of that "Paul is Dead" crap is fake and there is no such man as BILLY SHEARS!! Billy Shears is a complete fake and made up! Paul is really alive!

  • @chubwubster billy shears is ringo...

  • @72padawan nah man paul just has a deep range and what do you mean early recordings like back whel like i saw her standing there came out thats called puberty lol

  • @72padawan Fact is believe it or not, Paul has lost his voice over the years. It happens to some singers, for others, they either improve or stay the same..

  • Comment removed

  • @72padawan If he isn't the real Paul McCartney, I think I prefer the "later Paul": a much more talented composer.

  • @72padawan Paul had a dozen (or more) very distict voices, any one of which most singers would kill for. This is not a different person, it's just a different Paul. Each song has something it "Wants" from each instrument or voice. How many other bass players have you ever heard use a FUZZ-TONE effect (Mean Mr. Mustard)?!?

  • @72padawan Voice change over years, don't you get it, and Paul has a great vocal range!

  • @72padawan Dude Paul can change his voice like he usually does. When I first heard Paul it was in "I Saw Her Standing There", and it doesn't sound like him to me, but it is him!

  • @72padawan You do know when you grow up your voice does change even ringo george and john sound different......Check out Boys by The Beatles and then check out Octopus's Garden (Ringo's voice)...THEN check Do you want to know a secret, after that check out Something. (George's voice)

  • @72padawan yawn.

  • On August 8th, 1969, that photo that became the cover of The Beatles final album “Abbey Road” was taken.

  • @hegelets maybe because he doesn't see the blood. He feels the pain, but not the subsequent result.

  • Thanks for posting. Going to see Paul here in Chicago tonight -- 11th row ticket!

  • If the car accedent didnt happen john would still be alive. I guess.

  • @IpodAndMP3 ....?

  • @IpodAndMP3 How does the car accesdent have anything to do with Johns death??

  • that -boy you have to carry that weight- is such a rip off from this song:

    youtube.com/watch?v=GGjfN43pjwA

  • @Cururupu2010

the link doesn't work mate, it just takes me back to the home page

  • @sgtelzilcho

uploaded it in my videos, try it from there, it's called "Canihouse"

  • @Cururupu2010

I can see why you would say the beatles ripped it off, there are some similarities but not enough for it to be a rip off. And listening too it the production sounds more modern so I'd say if anyone ripped off anyone then they ripped off the Beatles. If you could link me to a page that has more info on the song (date recorded, who wrote it etc) that would be good.

  • how does shaving in the dark save paper??

  • @hegelets Less chance of cutting himself maybe even though it would be the opposite

  • ohh the beatles <3

  • As always, Beatles, absolutely stunning.

  • Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl......

  • This song makes me happy, like all of their songs.

But, I don't know, this one is just different. :]

  • The real answer to the Medley is that Abbey Road is really one of those albums you should listen to all together, from Come Together to Her Majesty.

  • I have this album when this was sold the first time in the market way back in the late 60's and as far I can remember the medley number was in the last part of the album. It was place in the just under Octopus garden by Ringo. In the movie the last number they performed was Get Back on the roof top.

  • At the "Boy, you gonna carry that weight" part I love how you can hear RIngo's voice .

  • shouldn't the medley start with Sun King since that songs connects in with Mean Mr Mustard...just a thought

  • I love the whole thing so I don't know why you're all arguing?:) I love how it starts at Carry That Weight! Peace All

  • ahahha my name is abby rose, and people at my work always comment on it saying how it sounds like this album :)

which is fine with me because i am absolutely obsessed with the beatles ahh

  • I think you can claim yourself the best band/artist ever when everyone is compared to you.

  • "By the way, everyone knows the Medley starts at You never give me"

No. This is the correct start of the "medley".

  • ohh yes now that is the Beatles finest my freind

  • newtyhuss? WTF?

  • I wonder how people could say the order that they're crossing the street without even thinking about it.

  • My name is Abbey! Yes with an E! :D

  • me and the guy in the background have something in common..we're both paul coles lol

  • GOOOOO BEATLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU JESUS. GOD BLESS LONDON.

  • Very Good Job...thanks

  • is paul mccartney dead?!?!

  • @vivi2012vip He died when he did a duet with MJ

  • @vivi2012vip maybe

  • Only 42 dislikes!!! ---what is wrong with those people?!?!? They are craaazyyyy! This music makes me feel freeeeeeeee!

  • THANKS JESUS CHRIST. AMEN

  • @FRANCECHILD You wouldn't know Jesus Christ if he were in your face. Nikola Tesla made earthquakes in Alaska in 1899 and YOU are going to burn in hell. So saith The Lord God. -Biblical Prophet

  • The End is the perfect way for the Beatles to end. Also, Golden Slumbers is fucking awesome!

  • @sgtelzilcho Sorry, but you still should put a note saying it's only a chunk. Thank god yoube gave us an extra 5 minutes.

I wanted it to be very minimalistic. I think it'll do well. I defnitely had fun making it.

Your song is good, very seemless. You should of been more adventurous in my opinion.

  • If you love the Abbey Road Medley, take a few minutes to listen to my mix of it. I took the original Master Tracks, and isolated all the instruments so that I could remix each instrument individually. Take a listen. I'm sure any Beatles fan would be happy they did.

By the way, everyone knows the Medley starts at You never give me. How has this the number one result? I feel bad for all those who found this and don't know about You never or Sun king.

  • @GooseMixes

dude I've already said I had to cut some of it to make it all fit, back in 2008 you could only upload up to 10:59. I'm gonna make a mix later with the multitracks, proper stereo not like the drums on one speaker and guitars on the other. I had a listen to your mix and it seemed quite bare to me, you've really got to fill up your project, I made a remix of you never and golden slumbers I'll post it as a response to your mix and you can have a listen.

  • def starts with ' you never give me you money' (it repeats it later at 6:15) and i reckon easily one of there best albums, pure genius!

  • Side 2 of the album rocks and migh tbe their finest work!

  • GOOOOOOLDEN SLUMBERS FILL YOUR EYES, SMIIIIIIIIILES AWAIT YOU WHEN YOU RISE

  • # 9 # 9 # 9...Not on this album. Look into the...the. ? What was that album title?

Oh yea! the White album. Someone wouidn't allow album's artwork to be presrnted in the good 'ol U S of A so we get a BLANK COVER. Althiugh white does contain all the colors of the rainbow I believe. Which brings us to an important album The Dark Side Of The Moon. by who? now what was the name.....Frigid Pink? Something like that dark and cold like a winters day on the dark side of my...

  • I've really got into Abbey Road recently. I'm really starting to dig this medley aswell ::)

  • here's a suitable debate topic for youtube comments (there aren't many, to be sure):

Does the medley begin with Mean Mr. Mustard, as our wonderful uploader sgtelzilcho has decided, or does it begin with Sun King (it's a quick cut into Mustard), or You Never Give Me Your Money, as other critics have suggested (a song which has medley-like qualities within it)?

Go at it, Youtube Beatles fans! And doublecheck your post for spelling!

  • @abandonedvideos

I personally believe it begins with You never give me your money but it would have been too long to upload to youtube at the time so I settled for cutting it off to where others think it starts. Looking back I wish I'd just uploaded it in parts because You never give me your money is one of my all time favorite songs.

  • @sgtelzilcho you forgot her majesty at the end of the end :/

  • @countryandpivot

    no it's there, it's at 9:43

  • @sgtelzilcho oh for somereason my spoeakers didnt show that sorry :/

  • @abandonedvideos I think it starts with Come Together!

  • @abandonedvideos You Never Give Me Your Money

  • @abandonedvideos it has to begin with you never give me your money as it is musically similer to the middle of carry that weight and the guitar is the same at the end of carry that weight to the intro of The End

  • @abandonedvideos Who gives a shit? =/ It's the Beatles.

  • @abandonedvideos

    You're right, it's a medley of a medley!

  • 38 dislikes, 38 DISLIKES!!!!!! lol im amazed! To anyone who dislikes The Beatles i gaurentee what ever music or band your into this band paved the way for them! 1000 years and beyond from now when they speak of music they will speak of The Beatles!

  • im scared of john lennon on the poster of this i have one iin my room

  • Since 1970 I say: Oooooooooooo myyyyyy Godddddddddddddd!

  • love this album

  • This is the best medley EVER.

  • Seriously,.... who in the hell would dislike this?,.... do these people have a soul or ears?

  • This sucks ass.

  • @whiteej21 I have to disagree with your comment about the beatles' musicality. Although their music is poppy and seemingly simple, I think you're overlooking the songwriting ability of these guys. Being a musician for about 12 years now, I have to say I find a great songwriter to be more impressive than someone who plays an instrument well. Not to mention the subtleties in their music, such as Paul's bass lines, which are an entirely separate melody of their own in every song. these guys rule.

  • @whiteej21

Yeah, pauls little gem sounds a lot like They're Red Hot by robert johnson, whose album was the shit back then when the britains rerecovered it (especially the blues section ala clapton worshipped that album).

  • The End (Trivia fact):

Paul decided the three of them should have guitar solo's after Ringo's drum solo.

The order is (Paul, George, John) for 2bars each beginning @ 8:18 and ending three sets later @ 8:54.

They talked for about three minutes and then recorded the alternating solos in one take - geniuses.

  • @myrtlebox

naaah, paul said ringo should do a drum solo after they knew they would do 3 guitar solo duel.

  • @OropherThranduil was merely positioning listener temporaly (I guess my timestamps achieved that though). And yes, Ring did NOT want to do it. In fact, they played along with him as if he weren't doing the solo and then just used his bit for the solo - credit to Ringo - it wasn't about him, it was always about what worked best for the track - and he was the master of subtle.

  • @myrtlebox

Guitar and Tambourine where together with the solo recorded but later on muted.

Ringo really stayed true to his no solos believe.

  • no one can understand who they were unless you lived it.....and now even today they smoke the rock world...they were and still are untouchable....Love you George (my Fav) love you john and paul and ringo....

  • One question: why is "you never give me your money" considered a part of the medley, since it ends with a fade away?

  • @mrTomine

Because back in the days of LPs, the song opened side 2, which contained the medley.

  • the beatles simply the best .................

  • the beatles simply the best.

  • i have this record and last night i was listning to it then it broke down...it went like this MEAN Mist e r r r...

  • Um, is it me or the audio is a little slow? it sounds like a walkman that starts running out of batteries...

Other than that, this is awesome... :D

  • you missed out you never give me your money and sun king!

  • <3 the beatles 4eva!!!!! wish i could have gone to one of their concerts!!!!!! RINGO I LUV U!!!!!!!!!

  • THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD BEATLES FOR EVER EVER ...

  • Who has that poster on their wall? ^

  • @oscarcanterbury

    what about revolution 9?

and I think Her Majesty is a nice little song

  • @sgtelzilcho Yeah as i said, one of the worst songs. The end is such a brilliant way to end the album then Paul has to go and spoil it. lol

  • @sgtelzilcho revolution 9 was in the White Album

  • @SammyG5551

    I know...

  • @oscarcanterbury no i actually found her majesty a beautiful short song!

  • @Cadeus722 Yeah,A great little ditty. The Beatles didn't take themselves too seriously like a lot of other 'Rock stars'.

  • @oscarcanterbury It was originally intended to be between Mean Mr. Mustard and Polythene Pam, but was cut. The engineer took the strip of tape from the cut and placed it at the end of the reel of the final mix. When a copy was made, the track was back. John heard it and told them to go ahead and press the record with it stuck on the end. And so, it was. He probably felt it was a an appropriately strange ending for The Beatles and maybe meant that The End wasn't really the end.

  • @aaronhoffmeyer I think any song would have spoilt the end of this great album after an amazing medley! Just my opinion but they shouldn't have added anything, but afterall this was the Beatles and the late 60's.

  • @oscarcanterbury Her Majesty was actually supposed to be put in the middle of Mean Mr. Mustard and She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.

  • @oscarcanterbury No o_o. It was brief, sounded excellent and where else do you put a 48 sec song at?

  • @oscarcanterbury

dude, i think its genius and a perfect way to end the album!

  • @oscarcanterbury No, "Her Majesty" is a sublime way to end it all. It's anti-royal, and anti-climatic - and that's the whole point. the Beatles couldn't have pulled off a big majestic crazy ending...

  • @oscarcanterbury si, lo arruina todo

  • @oscarcanterbury I think wild honey pie is worse.

  • @oscarcanterbury Also it was actually added on by mistake, they decided to get rid of it but the record company didn't get the message clearly so they added it on to the end. But the beatles still decided they liked it.

  • @JoTheShmo72

actually it was one of the engineers at Abbey Road, he had been told never to waste anything so he picked the piece of tape up off the floor after the session and spliced it onto the end with about 13 secs in between The End and Her Majesty. The test acetate was then cut from this and the person at apple decided he liked it he then played it to the beatles and they liked it to so they just kept it.

  • is that not the sickest album cover of ALL time????

  • there never has, and never will be a better 10:17 of music.

  • IMAGINE THAT LUCKY GUY WHO GETS TO SAY (during the 60's) HEY THAT WAS MY BEETLE I PARKED MY VW THERE and now think of the generations later that get to say hey that was my so and so memeber of the familys car he partked there and next thing he knew its on everys brain AS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC IMAGE OF THE BAND EVER

  • @GFORCEpackattack That license plate of his actually got stolen quite a lot. So, while it would totally be awesome, I think I'd be a little miffed that my license plate kept getting stolen, lol.

  • golden slumbers brings me to tears :')

  • blessed is the generation that can see the beatles complete and alive ...

    sampietri, ca

  • bunların ülkücü bıyıkları var

  • lol

  • Just a fuckin perfect album!! In a league of its own!!

  • Comment removed

  • @peaceluvtaco Cars on that side of the road, go the other way in England.

  • @pocketpool3 Oh wow, sadly...I knew that XD Fail.

  • The Abbey Road Medley is the musical equivalent of throwing a jigsaw puzzle randomly up in the air, and every piece falls back down again and fits perfectly. In other words its a mish mash, but some how it works and works perfectly.

  • This part of the album gives my chills every time. I always think: Boy, Paul McCartney is a genius.

  • this becomes all about Paul at some point - Mozart was a funny loving freek musicians can be without baggage

  • Thanks for this side, but, the other side is equally good, don't ya think?

  • The Beatles aren't the number one band of all time, the Beatles are timeless!!!

  • numerounoballa1, you the man. Thanks

  • thanks

  • Im not even a beatles fan...but 09:12 gave me shivers down my spine

  • @comicnic

People who can like Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. A.K.A: the true Rockers. :)

  • The opening bit of Polythene Pam is just orgasmic!

  • This is the sole greatest musical composition in the history of everything.

  • I was still in heaven live wid God when these songs was popular, but these songs drive me crazy, best piece of songs ever composed ever..I never give you my pillow..

  • I was still live wid God in heaven when this song was popular, but this songs drive me crazy..best piece of song ever composed..

  • This is probably the eighth or so time I have said this but at the end of the meledy doesen't it sound perfect to play blackbird?
