It really should have not been a contest but a way to have the world learn about each country's dance. We all have so much to learn about each other, and what a great media to have available to us. :) Peace to all.
That is masterful dancing!! Absolute perfection! I don't understand the judges. It all should have been 9 and 10. I mean that girl put her heart into it. I guess in first world countries when it comes to dance we look for either sexual type things or get impressed by hip-hop bboy dancer stuff. Don't get me wrong I love all types of dances but what she did here was breath taking!!! 10
does the judges know any detail knowledge baratham its difficult dance. you have to be flexible, u have to be expressive and u have to be energetic and perfect. this women deserves a 10 or atleast nine. 7 is too much i think she shouldnt have participated.
Dancing in front of these untouchables is extremely bad! They don't even know what Bharatanatyam is and it is not for showcasing! I am disappointed Mythili!

judges from Australia and South Africa! I would bet you people never catch atleast a single basic step of Bharatanatyam even if you practice or learn it for 10 years!!!!!!!!!! judges should have tried to know about the temple dance before they do such judgement!
Her movements and facial expersion is so smooth and define it speaks for itself...she is much much better than the other indian dancer....That south Afracian Judge does not belong there ...he is not able to see a good dance when he says it as a result he scored everyone bad....and what is more shocking is the same nite the dancer for argentina got 10s because dancer was more like a stripper...that was sad...so many better dancer deserved those scores
As a Bharta Natyam Dancer for 9 years...i am honestly shocked at the scores that she was given...this girl is good...really good...and i agree with the indian coach...what she did leaves no room for improvement...and her scores were sadly not what she deserves...at mininum a 9 is what she should have gotten...
Those judges had absolutely no understanding of what they were watching. I would invite any of them to try it just ONCE. Try to get the mudras right, try to maintain posture, try to keep the bells jingling in time, all while mastering the emotion and facial expressions. What LOOKS easy to the uneducated is anything but. Just becuase they're not doing lifts or dancing en point or doing gymnastics doesn't mean it's any less difficult or anything but submlime. Mythili was ROBBED.
My God she is a cut above the rest. Mythili is the dance and dance is her. I get goose bumps looking a this fine dancer. Let them keep the 10 points cause with her dancing i am sure she has already inspired many other dances.
The judges don't know anything about the technique of dance which they are judging, but still I don't understand how a professionals could not see that Mythili is just fabulous.:( Actually I didn't like the kathak dancer that much and would have given her lower scores.
All in all, 10 points for Mythili's bharatanatyam! :)
I could not believe the comments of South african and Australian judges..they were absolutely out of their freaking mind!

That was beautiful. One of my favourite performances in the competition.
I don't think some of these judges understand the intricacy and precision in this performance.
