Republican policies caused this crash, Democrats try to place restrictions in place to prevent it, and it's demonized.

Republicans have prevented any kind of aid from getting to the people thanks to the filibusters, all in the sake of making themselves appear more appealing for the next election. They even vote against things like small business tax cuts they claim to favor.

Actually the cause of the meltdown was the government intervention into the country's financial mortgage structure.

The programs that demanded and supported unsustainable loan programs. The programs designed by the dems in Congress and administered by Fannie and Freddie. The programs that the banks compete against the government in one of their primary lines of business

When the meltdown occurred the feds went to the banks and wrote 80% of their loans down forcing them to hold more capital.

@itsneverthegovsfault This is typical of the unintended consequences of having too much of a hand in the private sector. When the banks had to compete with the govt they began to sell off through the open market the loans they knew would tank if and when the market came crashing down.

The banks played the game the feds (democrats) set up.

Large interventions into our system ie: democrat plans caused these issues.
