I know someone who just tapes some clear plastic material over his windows. It wasn't from a kit. Whatever plastic filmy material you can afford, just tape it over your windows and tighten it with the blow dryer.
Although the kit in the video is by 3M and costs $18.85 on Amazon, you can get another brand like the Henkel window kit, which costs $9.89 on Amazon right now. You will probably end up saving more money by reducing your heat loss, and the kit will pay for itself in that way.
@Booliocious I guarantee that the amount of money saved on energy bills will be far greater than the cost of the kit. That's the whole point of buying it. Same goes for compact florescent lights.
