  • Not too bad he says... everytime i get work on a semi i have to remove all the good for nothing welds in order to do it porperly, from the not too bad "welders"

  • i leke this guy defiinitely you are a rod burner and it is a2f horizontal and not a over head welding

  • I think the camera guy is welding and the welder is holding the camera.

  • were u on ac like what the hell was tht

  • The slag should just peel off..Why you hacking away at it instead of Scraping or raking it?

  • when ever i try to weld over head my welds are droope is it my speed or is there a hand position i should use?

  • i would have ran a filler or root pass with 6010 first, then crank up the heat to about 125-130 and roll with it

  • the trailer industry is perfect for him he sucks tooooo slow tooooo cold the weld shoulda looked like a flat weld smooth and uniform sounded like he got some arc blow towards the end he wouldnt make it in struc field maybe shipyard inside the ship

  • looks like you pulled away for a sec towards the end where the high crown is though looks ok overall I'm still practicing myself just started vertical 7018

  • okay, granted I only went to school and did not get certified, but my understanding was that overhead welding was... welll over your head. Confused. Also, whether it needed a bevel or not, I do not know, but I have never seen metal that thick with a gap that small. Where is the penetration? I was not taught that a root pass had to be 6010 and not 7018 but we welded with backing. Don't know if that makes a difference.

  • YOUR A ROD BURNER, DEFINITELY NOT A WELDER

  • @blakeh27 yup hes a rod burner....ands thats not even really overhead lmfao id just bend the rod and do a 2F horizontal weld instead of making it harder on urself

  • A semi trailer is not something to practice on .......

  • should have put a j groove bevel on that shit with a 1/16 landing ran a 6010 pass first clean and grind it then come back with 7018 pass

  • Whenever you have a crack at all, with stick welding, you should use a 6010 5p plus rod first, with a whipping action, then after you fill in that crack, then and then alone, go over it with 7018 if you with to, or go over it one more time with a 6010 C-LACE bead.

  • OFFSHORE WELDERS EARN LARGE LARGE SALARIES, IF YOU WISH TO GO OFFSHORE AND WELD, CONTACT ME AT : weldingsteel@yahoo.com

  • i guess i wouldnt call that overhead haha

  • hope it doesnt fall apart again, with those welds ill put money on it breakin again

  • BEANER WORK THEN THAT TRAILER FALLS APART ON THE HIGHWAY

  • looks like hammered dog shit

  • just use j.b weld

  • I think a bird just shit on your metal....Ohh wait thats your weld bead oopss

  • Looks like bubble gum.

  • that is not over head welding, you call it over head cause u r under the truck. rookie...

  • str8 crap

  • i would have run that alot hotter at least 15 amps

  • doesnt really look like its OH looks more like horizontal

  • @fullystrapped777 ummm overhead is the position, it doesn't always mean its above your head

  • @BRETT734 i know its the position and it does have to be above your head, otherwise it isn't overhead welding.

  • @fullystrapped777 my bad that came out wrong but you only get like 15 degrees of tilt in overhead right? sorry its been a while, but over head is from eye level and up going horizontally with fifteen degrees at most of tilt

  • im cussing your camera man

  • I think my dear friend sweaterstring is very angry,it is very clear now,a mexican welder has knotted up in his mouth, when he said he wouldn't...oh well...

  • Have you ever made hot monkey love to another man??

  • you need to hold your rod only like 10 to 15 degrees angle. condisering that it is imo a horizontal weld. you are like at 45 or 50 degrees angle. your bead will look so much better if you are at the right angle....jmo

  • wow imo that was horizontal not over head....those beads where average at best...just keep working you will get better.... the biggest problem i saw was your arc length... thats why you have what i call the peaks and vallys... your weld depth is not consistant at all and yes i know you can grind it down but if it was a good bead you shouldnt have to do much grinding... jmo....

  • 7018 great weld. How about 6013?

  • @dvd0505 working on it! All I can do is practice and practice..............

  • @dvd0505 6013 is a cheep mud rod for quick thin material fixes. it doesn't hold near as well as 7018

  • 6013 is for pussies

  • LOL,overhead welding. It is not overhead welding if it is not over your head.No cert, you sure can tell.Shit video man really.

  • @sweaterstring just because its not over his head does not mean its not overhead. hes welding in the 4g position and thats overhead.

  • @cky450mm lol,but he does not have to be in that position!!!!!!!!!!! Have you NO teaching?????? I will tell my boss what you said.

  • @sweaterstring than what position is that. look it up in d1.1 dumb fuck its the joint position not the position of your body

  • @cky450mm LOL,you make me laugh.Sorry for the union you work for.I did not know they let weed heads in.BUT,I will be sure to let them know about you. Thanks for the info.

  • @sweaterstring ahah well they do as long as you have it prescribed by a doctor, so go right ahead and let them know . you can feel sorry for us but your the peace of shit scab who does not know what a overhead weld is lol. i feel sorry whoever has paid you to weld because im sure they got some shitty welds that would not pass a visual and are full of slag. o wait your prob a mig welder!

  • @cky450mm Seems you need to read the D 1.1 some more its 2G hes welding in the video and he will have to do a 4F on the sides there is no 4G on this project

  • @wdmforrent1 im in d 1.1 everyday. i have the 2002 but how about you go to section 4 (qualifications) and look at figure 4.5 ( it may be differeint if you dont have 2002) positions of test plate for fillet weld. and tell me what hes welding. the axis of the weld it self may be horizontal. when the vertical peace of metal in under the horizontal one that ='s a over head weld. if you can show me were it says different in d 1.1 i would like to see. hes welding a t-joint with verry little lap

  • @cky450mm I weld this same thing he is the Hanger should be same width as frame and both beveled when done right its 2G V- grove

what your reading is for the inside of the tee not the outside

  • @cky450mm Lol.Are you out of weed??Is that why you posted 3 comments to my one.

  • @sweaterstring or you can say its 4f but eather way its a overhead joint so that ='s overhead welding. and i guess if 2 you no training is 2 years at a trade school and 3 years in the field. as a AWS and L.A city certified welder and union ironworker. your right i have none ahah

  • @cky450mm WOW,bet when mom is not sucking dick, she is proud of her mistake.

  • @sweaterstring lol and still no answer on what kind of weld that is. a 34 year old guy still makein mom jokes now thats funny. dont be upset that this "weed head" knows more about welding that u.

  • @sweaterstring lol u call your self a welder and u dont even know what a over head weld is ahahahahah. were the fuck do u weld mexico or are you a fence welder ?im sure you have never done a 2.5in CJP weld

  • @cky450mm Must be the weed talking here.Or did I strike a nerve with you.Ever heard of capitol letter??? Maybe you skipped that in school too.

  • not gonna down your welding but 1 you need more heat 2 you need to pick up travel speed 3 your tie end needs work.

  • Are you a licensed welder? If so, is hard to learn and get accredited?

  • nice camera in 1080p

  • touch more heat and better weeve patern....sit on the outsides and move through the center this will make the bead les convex and resist stress betteryou could also use a better bead all together...which you would get from having better bracing and body stabillity.maybe even use your left hand to pattern or work the weeve..i will post som vids soon. i weld a bit too.

  • I hope the camera man is wearing shades.
