  • Sublime. One of my all time favourites too. I have it on the CD 'Les chansons d'amour' but it is in mono. Where does this lovely stereo version come from?

  • One of my all time favorite songs in English and French. Simply beautiful.

  • Pity the " bus" goes backwards - dumme producers, not French I think! Dream girl. She lit up the aircraft when she flew....

  • @Wordsmith37

Isn't it just? Where did she fly to? The Lady has a lovely voice.

    Jennie. x.

  • I loved this girl, and it will always bring back memories

  • I knew Ms Hardy beause of the British pops of the 60s, but end up it's Ms Hardy and her "dans le monde entier" that changed my whole life...I'd rather be alone (divorced) and travel to France as much as I can...beautiful memories of the past will never go away....

No question Ms Hardy is the most elegant and classy singer of all time.

    Merci, Ms Hardy...

    Gerry, California, 8/17/2011

  • Haven't seen or heard of Francois Hardy since this song from 1965. She and the song remain timeless.

  • WONDERFULL

  • Loved this when it first came out and still do and I can still 'mouth' every word without one mistake. Surely (dont call me Shirley) one of the most romantic songs ever written, beautifully sung and produced.

  • It's a lovely song, but it is not a drive through London. Look at her hair. It is a green screen job.

  • Love the words, Love the voice

  • I heard the song many many times through the radio at night when I was young, and I love the song and her voice very much. At that time we did not have the technology like Youtube through which you could see the beautiful video and singer, otherwise she would have been one of my dream girls,...

  • i was a horny teenager when this song was released and just couldn't hear it enough. When I saw what Francois Hardy looked like I was even more smitten by the song .What a sensual and sexy song!

  • Superb Francoise! Still singing and still looking good! Pure class!

  • Só quero saber o que que a Skol ta fazendo atrás dela aos 56 segundos, kakaka

  • A beautiful song. Can't seem to download this song from itune. Any suggestion?

  • @18jerryong I have the original LP "Francoise Hardy in English. It is on that LP. Still brilliant after 40 years.

  • 21/5/11: BBC Radio 4 did a fab. review of FH for 30 mins. It was heaven to listen to all the appreciative comments. I was in Germany with this singer was really popular. Really great memories. I am off to learn it on my guitar now!! Then start to get all emotional with nostalgic thoughts of when we were all in out teens! IGS.

  • There were many semi-good singers in the 60's but only one Francoise Hardy, she

was the best. Petula Clark,Sandie Shaw, Marianne Faithful, Mary Hopkins(whatever

happenened to her)Cilla Black to mention but a few, were good.I doubt very much

that any singer (female) will ever take over the no1 spot Francoise holds for many

    people of today & yesteryear.

  • Never new she sang this in English! It is the Seekers version I remember.

  • lovely ,i love this song!!

  • What a lovely experience! The version compares very well to Judith Durham's musically, but has an extra something: obviously, F.H. was hot in a way only a husky, pouting French girl in the 1960s in a mini-skirt could be!

  • Francoise Hardy makes-me dream with such beautiful songs, no matter in what languages she sings. I am a "fan" faraway in space and time. As soon as I listen to her songs I start to love-them. What a talent!!! Many Greetings from Argentina/ Merci beaucoup pour donner Tant de Belles Choses au travers du temps, Salutations dès la République Argentine

  • A beautiful song from a beautiful singer. Perfect <3

  • This song makes me cry! I hope you never forget me x

  • Yay! No 'dislikes' for this song. Just as it should be! :-)

  • Back listening to this lovely song. Love the pure 60's look about the whole set. I have always the singer and Jane asher also Julie Christie were all so beautiful.

  • Wow now I remember

  • This makes me so sad... I remember this playing from a commercial on national geographic around the time we were touring around asia last year. Good times.

  • I was 14 when this came out & fell in love with it & Francoise & still have my copy & play it

  • That same white star, All over the World, a beautiful voice...

  • THE SNOWFLAKE It can point you to a pot of gold It can paint a rainbow sky Only one is colourful And then it passes by It will tell you that a river flows To and from a point of view It will present you with a waterfall The mist inside of you Did you ever see an eagle fall While reaching for the top
  • Did you really see the tree that fell Because you made it drop And when it lay upon the ground With each season turning round Did you really see the tree that fell In each record spinning round Have you ever seen an evergreen A pine needle in the sky Making tracks forever Around a mountains crystal eye It can point you to a pot of gold It can paint a rainbow sky Because a snowflake makes it beautiful A little star from a sea blue sky Bjohn Words
  • I LOVE this song! my grandma showed to me when I was about eight and I've loved it since!!!

  • Heard this on Radio 2 this morning, what a beautiful song....poignant for me after a beak up with my Canadian partner....

  • Reality sees with a reason

    The reasons realities where

Changing each suit see each forest

Its the reason why Europe is there

Reality sees stars in the heavens

    Like children all born aware

When conditioned we lose our direction

    Untill it suits somebody somewhere

  • Does anyone have the French lyrics to this song?

  • I adore this song, here under that star I'm wanting you to know, wherever you are that I still love you so.... don't we all know someone we could sing that to?

  • @3moonriver yes you right in my case every day ..so its nice to hear someone else say it ...cheers

  • Francoise Hardy's performance in this "You Tube" clip of "All Over The World" is the usual FH classic: always hypnotic, inviting and hopelessly romantic yet iconic, intense yet detached, intimate and vulnerable yet distant. Francoise Hardy, you are simply unforgettable.

  • Is that Jacques Tati at the start of this video?

  • Wonderfull, I fell in love with this song so many years ago. Such a sexy vioice!

  • My all time favourite song.

  • I agree with ; mrhomerbojangles.,nostalgic 70's, unlike now with raps, I wonder though why 'France songs weren't heard of in most english speaking countries??

  • I think I was 9- we went on a holiday to Bornemouth with some inheritance money my Mum got- radios were not as common-place back then, but Its one of the songs that I recall from that holiday that was on the transistor radio..The Boat That Rocked brought it all back to me...

  • the 1960s ~ When England was England and not run by a bunch of european monkeys. When the british could live their lives how they wanted to without being told what to do and how to do it and when britain was producing the greatest music the world had ever heard or seen. The 60s to the late 80s were the best.

Thanks for posting such a great song.

  • @mrhomerbojangles strange comment on a french song by a french singer . the 60s when english bands were taking black american music an re-packaging it, maybe?

  • @mrhomerbojangles Speaking of "a bunch of european monkeys", I hope you do realise that Françoise Hardy is French. LOL.

  • I was a young boy of 13 when this was first released in the England and was fascinated by seeing a such a beautiful girl who didn't dress like her mum! You'd be arrested now though if you took a spin around Picadilly on the roof of an A35 van! L.O.L. Thanks for posting!

  • @junction666 I was 14 & fell in love with it & her & still have my copy & play it
