  • to bad i wasnt born 3 years erlier

  • i dont know why alot of people dont like this other band.i think they are pretty awseome! especially shane fontayne he is a kick ass guitar player!!!

  • how the hell does he remember that

  • Such a pity he wont't play these songs anymore. The records were great, band was not up to ESB level.. But many songs of these albums should be played, the passion and hope coming out of HT/LT was enormous, pity it got away...songs did not deserve it.

  • Fuck... his good.

  • nice song..i like very much

  • Comment removed

  • Damn underrated song and album, this song is my favourite bruce-track!!!!

  • Semplicemente FAN-TA-STI-CO !!!

  • Bruce is great on guitar, and so underrated. I guess it's because he's one the greatest living songwriters, and performers, *the* greatest performer and his only writing peers are Dylan and maybe McCartney, that playing great guitar is just another thing he does.

He was lead guitar in his first bands before he had written, or even sung, a word.

But the solo at the end of Lucky Towon is just stunning. So beautiful

  • with no doubt, the 90´s were the best decade for bruce!!!!!!!!!

    best albums, best live performances...

  • @DINKENSPIEL WTF? 75-81 are the best years and the best albums:Born to Run,Darkness and The River, and when he started to do the concerts of 3 hours, when the legend began.

  • Ole!!!!

  • Gooooooooood

    Joooooooooob

  • E street band is better but this band is still amazing

  • love this video best.

  • 1993. Best year for Bruce Springsteen as a SINGER.

  • coolest guy alive....yup...makes us look cool too

  • Awesome song, awesome guitar, awesome perfomance, awesome bruce

  • Anyone who says that this band is better the the E Street Band is one of two things, stupid or High

  • Yes!!! He is the Boss°!!!!!!!!

  • my 7 year old daughter is a Bruce convert and sings this regularly.

  • A different vibe with this band but it still ROCKS! To piss down the backs of this group of backup ARTISTS by blowing them off as "just session players" is like saying the 75 chevy Nova was just a car. Stop the endless and boring comparisons and just enjoy to tune man.

  • Matter of taste....not getting into that....some like green, some like blue.....have a nice day!

  • The former fascist following a new idol of the masses

  • soundtrack of "lucky you"!! amazing movie.

    fabolous song...

  • Bruuuuuuuuuuce...

Had a coat of fine leather and snakeskin boots

But that coat always had a tread hangin' loose

Well I pulled it one night and to my surprise

It led me right past your house and on over the rise......so cool! Thanks! :-)

  • goddamn I love Lucky Town. I was born around this era so maybe I was born in Lucky Town?

  • awesome version!!

  • this is my "giving me power when i´m going out of the house, to experience life" song!!

i got dirt on my hands, but i´m building me ay home!! LUCKY TOOOOOOOWN!!!!

  • Brilliant song. One of my favorite Boss tunes. Was never keen on "the other band" though. They don't seem as together as the E Streeters.

  • The chick sounds great with the harmony. Bruce is not a polished lead player, he just guts it out like a street guy. But that is Bruce, a street guy who makes good music.

  • This backing band, in my opinion, blows the ESB away in every sense, shape or form....except of course for the romantic/nostalgic thoughts/feelings that a lot of people seems to suffer from....which is sad:/

  • I have to disagree.

The biggest problem with this band was the fact that they where a band of session musicians and not a proper band.

The result was a band that did the songs they did just fine but removed the spontanity that is a well oiled machinery in a proper band like the E Street Band.

  • I have to disagree back....they had maybe 150+ shows and probably a month or more of rehearsal prior to the tour....plenty of time for session players at this level to develop spontanity, i´d guess that after like 5 shows in they must have been burning....but hey, matter of taste right....these players are just more in my taste:)

  • i agree, they had to be counted in every song! but saying that i thought they were underrated

  • @ShabbyDogRCR I agree with you, but during Nebraska and Lucky Town, Springsteen just wanted to try himself alone. Still you can recognize Roy Bitton at 2:00, who is still the member of the ESB.

As an example to @jenseyde just check any songs on the London Calling DVD from the Hyde Park, for example "American Land".. And then tell me that the ESB is not mindblowingly good.

  • Yeah, they really are on that show.

The ESB's not bad. Just not terribly tight. I prefer them, myself, but I respected The Boss's decision to work with a more tight, technical sound for a bit.

  • nothing sad about romanticism

  • @jenseyde The E Street Band could play circles around these guys.

  • @jenseyde

Better Days/ If I Should Fall Behind are the only two songs I really like from this backing band... However EVERY song off of EVERY E Street Band album I can't pass up when they come on my stereo.

  • @jenseyde Yeah that drummer is so much better than Mighty Max, And the Guitarist blows Nils out the water....Sarcasm.

  • @Badlandz Glad to see the sarcasm as imho NO ONE blows Nils out of the water!!!! EVER!

  • @jenseyde no way! they are great agreed, and worked well -but they don't have the energy the e street band does,

  • @jenseyde Oh yes, it sounds thousands times better than ESB version, but honestly I believe that music comes from the heart for the heart, not from the instruments for the ears so => ESB = ♥

  • @jenseyde How about this spongsteen guy, though? Is he any good? Is he reall playing that guiar solo at about 3:55 mark? What are the people so excited about.

  • Y'know, the talent.

  • This back-up band is underrated.

  • I was there and it was the first time I saw him, it was amazing, I loved it! Thank´s for posting it...

  • Great Boss!!! What an amazing performance, even without the E-Street Band!!!!

  • Great..!!!

  • hey love you Bruce

    you're the legend

  • Who's this band?

  • i was born a month before this haa, bruce is the man carnt wait to see him again next summer

  • absolultely amazing, way better than the album version (which is itself really good).

  • Say what you want about this band....this is a f'ng hot song....and Bruce doesn't solo like this anymore. His version of Luckytown from SNL is the best playing I've ever seen live from him. PLEASE send me a link if you find it. I have only seen it on DVD.

  • I love this song, think it is one of the coolest songs of Bruce :)

  • I was there, Excellent perfomance!!

So many thanks for the vid!!

  • This is one of my favourite songs in the world. it just makes you feel so resilient and good about doing stuff! This version is kickass aswell

  • I always think of Las Vegas when I hear this song, but that was helped along since that "Lucky You" movie (which is set in Vegas) uses this song for the intro.

Also, for the longest time, I thought he was singing: I only lose the things I found, down in Lucky Town, when he's singing: I'm gonna lose these blues I've found, down in Lucky Town.

  • that would make sense as well

  • I never liked the Lucky Town and Human Touch records as much as I liked the E-Street albums. Performing live however, Bruce has given these songs another dimension and they sound awesome

  • Lucky town was definitely the better of the two though

  • sexiest man that ever lived

  • Oh yes !!!

  • Been at two conserts now in sweden, he has never played this one though:(

  • Only two weeks left for the Stockholm consert!

  • sei il meglioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • great song !

  • No one is quite as Bruce. I love him so much...

  • nice song

  • This one of my favorite songs by The Boss. I wish he would play this song again some day.

  • he is such a damn fine looking man

  • I kinda wish Bruce would tour with these guys. I can"t get enough of this this one.The E-street are great ,but these guys really work this song.

  • With or without the E-Street Band, Bruce Springsteen rocks. "Lucky Town" is my fave from the much underrated CD of the same name.

  • good rockin' tune. gets me goin'

  • Fantastic. But much better with E Street Band!

  • Jo vull una Stratocaster, joder!

    Pepe Sales (1954-1994). Poeta Català.

  • ya bigbru, if you knew aything about Bruce and his background and how he started out, you would know thats not true

  • bigbrutherman your a BIG ARSEHOLE who knows sweet fuck all about music to come out with a comment like that.Turn the music off,go play on your play station,U TIT.

  • I'm not an American, but this song speaks volumes to me, regardless of creed, color, nationality, or whatever. Brasilia, in Brazil, is my Lucky Town

  • what would you know dickhead

  • Music has no racial profile, it´s just a gift from God.

  • wow, he's so good looking its not funny!

he's just a man of all talents

  • Well, now that it's been *found*, where can we get it? Just love the growl and aggression in his voice and guitar. Some MEAN tune, this is. "Been a long time walkin' on fortune's cane."

  • Great lyrics too. As I see them, it's about a man who has been through a bad personal moment, and is finding himself again. I tend to think it's autobiographic, as Bruce seemed a bit lost during the early 90´s.

This is, in my opinion, his best song from this era, and possibly one of the best he's written. I think it's underrated just because it was released in an album which was not that great overall.

    Keep rockin'

  • Yes, I agree that it's probably autobiographical, as is "Local Hero", from the same album. I've actually been listening quite a bit to the album Lucky Town during the past two months; it's got plenty of fine tunes, with particularly honest lyrics.

  • well said man, i think lucky town is a great album though, its very underrated

  • What an amazing song!! it rocks!

  • is a good song but i like more thander road it's the best.....

  • Great, truly great song!

  • my all time hereo, love him

  • Its weird to see Bruce on stage without the E Street band.

  • Shane Fontaine-Guitar > Zack Alford-drums Bearded guy on piano? > Roy Bittan/ Acoustic guitar > female forgot her name: All played on the MTV Unplugged show... Fantastic musicians! Great chemistry /w Bruce!

  • Awesome.

  • OOOOOOOH yeeeeeeeeesssss!!!! THE BOSSSS grande bruce porca troiaa!!! GAE THE BOSS UDINE

  • can I find the complete concert somewhere?

  • I grew up in the north of Sweden.

Going to concerts was always the thing that made me the most happy.

The concerts were in Stockholm, so to me Stockholm is Lucky Town. Yeah baby!

  • fcukin brilliant

  • I know many fans are not keen on Lucky Town and Human Touch album, but I one for one love them. It was at this time that I first saw Bruce live at the Sky Dome in Toronto, when living in Canada in the 90s. I was absolutely blown away, took along my 15 yr old daughter, who was not really a fan, but she has been ever since!!! Like so many Bruce fans we found once seen is forever hooked

  • it's my 2nd favorite BS tune, after Thunder Road!

  • This is such a great song! the Boss is one of the greatest ever

  • Hanging loose!

  • You are out of luck buddy.

He was playing Canada this week.

  • It feels a little strange looking at this... Since I was there too. "The Other Band" dont get much credit these days, and I dont think that they are better than The E Streeters, but this is really good. This version beats the In "Concert/Plugged"-version anyway. Check out the "Souls Of The Departed"-clip as well.

  • Valle Hovin, 8.July in Oslo! Looking forward!

  • ciudad afortunada

  • boss rocks the universe!!!

  • i was there, i didn´t know that the gig was on dvd... it was freezing and the band had to work very hard to get crowd warm... but the boss was hot!

  • I may get flamed here, but I'm brave...I got snagged on Bruce's songwriting back in '93, his solo work, damn good stuff, but 2007's MAGIC is too 70s for my taste. Any thoughts???

  • yes. that you're wrong.

  • yes I agree but still the first song, radio nowhere was good, the rest was too slow for my taste.

  • I like the songs on "Lucky Town", and some of the "Human Touch" stuff to. Bruces vocals are great as well as his guitarplaying. The problem is that the albums are overproduced. They are boring to listen to. No soul, no feel, no gut, and to much 1986 in a time when grunge and alternative rock emerged. "The Other Band" didnt lack in musical ability, but identity. They sounded, at times, like an E Street-tribute band. They should have sounded like THIS (and Souls Of The Departed)all the time.

  • @JeremyThePilgrim you know the album came out in 1992 rite?

  • the boss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw the Boss twice. Twice is not enough. The show at Giant's Stadium is UNBELIEVABLE!

  • words cannot describe... amazing music and bruce springsteen rocks everything in his path !!!!!

  • I'm going to do whatever it takes to see this man live this year.

  • exist a dvd of this concert?

  • I don't think so... :(

  • A performing genius.

  • Great song.

  • i totally agree.. this album is actually very good.. definitely better than seeger session, WIESS and human touch

  • probably one of the most underrated albums ever great feeling and lyrice in every track can't understand the negative moron comments regarding this song and album...remember that e street band member max weinberg (drummer) lost his rhythm after Born to Run, so don't tell me that the E Street Band would have played this better!!!

  • this is why they call him "the Boss"!!

  • I need a ride to lucky town.

Any female out there to take me there? ;)

Lovely song. Come back to Sweden soon Boss!!

  • Great song boss..Who/s that bird?Where/s Pat?.

  • E' stupendo qua Bruce e la voce è davvero eccezionale, una Lucky Town riuscita benissimo: Superba!

  • thank you so much for posting it!!! 20 out of 10!!!

  • the nest song ever! Bruce springsteen makes me cry

  • I cant agree with any negative comments about this vid.

Its a great song brilliantly performed by a terrific band of musicians in front of an adoring live audience.

Of course,we all know Bruce is the greatest songwriter alive and one of the greatest performers, and this vid just proves it.

Pure genius at work. Many thanks to ShabbyDog RCR for sharing it with us.

  • заебись

  • hmmm . ok.....???

  • чо такое то

  • great song. . great man this is on Lucky Uou

My most fave film in the world

  • Ilove this song GREAT.

  • The bloke is brilliant. A +.

  • desde México te agradezco. y de corazon me gustaria tener toda la presentacion.

    Leonor

  • Just seems like Some of Bruce's prime years were wasted on this band.. Oh well, here's to 07-08 E Street!

  • I saw this tour also and thought the same thing. He tried something that did not work and had no chemistry. The drummer could not make it work. I wish he would add those singers into the E-Street Lineup.
