  • So many mullets lol

  • what were the names of the old conferences? The wales and the camels? weird.

  • @knightschwartz prince of wales and campbell

  • I was 6-years-old when this game was played, and I still remember getting into trouble at my babysitter's house because I commandeered the television and wouldn't let the other kids watch cartoons.

"Sorry guys, it's hockey — deal with it."

  • This presentation was completely serious in 1992; today it would pass for great comedy.

  • Hey guys I can imagine this NHL NBC theme being used for this year's Oscars LOL. Its inspirational.

  • But @MTCanucksFan, what hockey voices does Turner have other than Marv Albert? Turner is a basketball station, plan and simple. Their lead pbp voice for baseball is Ernie Johnson, the host of Inside the NBA. Moving the NHL to Turner would be a "turrible" idea.

  • Albert did hockey for like 30 years before he got kicked off for basketball and his sex charges.

  • Always looked forward to this broadcast for a long time...until ESPN returned in 1993 this was the only NHL game I'd get to see on TV.

  • What the fuck is JD saying?!

"There's gonna be hitting and attention to defensive plays"

All-Star Game is an utter joke!

  • nbc just showed the all star game not even coverage of the season

  • @retroguy1976 There were reports that NBC was going to broadcast about 8 regular season games for I think the '92-93 season, but the NHL wanted assurance that NBC's affiliates would give the coverage 100% clearance.

  • Now that the NHL is back on the Peacock Network, I think Marv should do one game tnext season just for old time's sake.

  • NBC barely covers the NHL. I hope that there is another cable network, USA, that would be willing to pick up some coverage. Versus playoff coverage is a joke seeing that an exciting Devils/Canes series got very little play.

  • Well lets put it this way, back in 1992, the All-Star Game was the only time that NBC covered the NHL!

  • @TMC1982Part2

NBC covered the All-Star Game from 1991-1994, when FOX took over.

  • If you hate NBC then having the NHL move to USA is not what you want, NBC owns USA network.

  • That would be impossible; Marv works for Turner now. What's your problem with Mike Emrick? They do need a new color guy though; I didn't know his name until I looked it up on Wiki.

  • they should go back to the old names of the conferences and divisions.

  • @face525252

    Next season they might...

  • did she just say mark fitzpatrick.. wow

  • The idiots on WDSU in New Orleans used to always preempt these NHL all star games when NBC used to broadcast them in the 90's for some weak, silly SEC basketball...not the good teams, mind you, but the ones who was in last place.

  • Lol, didn't know Marv Albert did hockey. When I clicked on the clip and saw the description, I assumed it meant Kenny Albert. Nice clip

  • Are you kidding? Marv would do play-by-play of somebody showering if someone paid him enough.

  • In some circles here in New York, there was a debate over whether Marv Albert was better as the radio announcer of the Knicks or of the Rangers.

  • Gayle Gardner was a fiery redhead. Heard she had a coke problem for a while.

  • Nice, still love the jerseys worn in the 91-92season with the 75th Anniversary patch.

  • marv!
