My uncle bought his little Toyota truck brand new in 1984. It has 384,000 miles last time I checked. He said that all he has had to replace is the brakes, alternator, and radiator. Haha he still gets free oil changes from the dealer. These little trucks last forever.

I have a brand new Hilux Invincible all singing all dancing every extra you can get...and always have had them..... never had a problem.........this one, I dont know if Toyota are on an economy drive but the Turbo blew after 1900 miles, I had never broken down in a Toyota ever but the garage told me it is a regular event since then not any problems so far, but fingers crossed

Found a burst hose the next day.

Engine had run air cooled for about 50 miles.

Repaired and refilled. Started 3rd time. As usual

That is true haha hummers ain't got shit on toyotas. Here in costa rica/central america you never see hummers/chevy/ford/s . The only people that drive hummers or fords/chevys here are people that want to "prove" they have money. I bought a used diesel land cruiser not too long ago, and will be buying a hilux diesel soon as well.

If toyota sends their hilux diesel trucks to america that would be the end of chevy/ford trucks period.

Anyone who claims to have had a nightmare with a Toyota 4x4 or any other Toyota for that matter is full of shit... My 4 Runner has 230,000+ miles and it still runs great. Good ol 22RE still working hard. I'll never own another 4x4 or any other vehicle for that matter, Toyota flat out makes the best, most reliable cars and trucks ever... Maybe not in the Performance car relm (although the MR2 is an Awsomely underrated little track rig) but hey yacan't win'm all
