I have family members, friends, classmates and colleagues who are gay. For example, I have a friend who sits on the LGBT board for the state of Colorado who simply told me she prefers lesbians over men.

When you speak to gay men, research has shown that upwards of 95% of gay men either had non-existent fathers, abusive fathers, were sexually abused as chiildren, etc.

The majority of the well known founding fathers were Deists, etc. Many of them rejected Christianity completely.

As for the founding fathers' religious affiliation, they varied. of the 74 delegates,49 of them claimed to be protestant Christians and 3 were Catholic.

Jefferson and Franklin simply opposed organized religion whereas Henry and others opposed traditional religion. Payne(not a delegate) was a deist.
