Many Queen fans were not Queen fans at the time Freddie lived. I example was 10yo when he died, started to listen on my mom's old Queen C-tapes in 1994 (after watching Disney's kid hockey movie "Mighty Ducks" that has We Are the Champions and We Will Rock You playing in the last two scenes) and bought Made in Heaven after it came out and the rest is history. I'm now 30, been listening for Queen past 17 years and I've never thought I'm not "real" Queen fan cause I

I have a faint memory about news of his AIDS, death and the tribute concert. Until I "woke up" as Queen fan he was just some weird british gay celeb who died cause of taboo disease.

These days I think mostly as a man who had one of the strongest voices ever. Too bad he died so young...

Ive been a queen fan for a long time but havent listened to everything of theirs. This is the first time I heard this. I always loved how Freddie Mercury's compositions just unravel the listener almost inspite of oneself. the words are so fitting.
