Bogie died on my birthday January 14. He died in 1957. I was born in 1960. I wish I could have met him. He is my idol

Bogie & Bacall certainly made a handsome couple, even though there was a 25 year gap in their ages. I think Ms Bacall was mature & wise for her tender years. How tragic that they were married for only about 12 years before espophogal cancer claimed Bogie's life. His heavy smoking & drinking I'm sure didnt help matters. But at least their marriage appears to have been a happy & joyful one. THANKS for posting this touching tribute for us to enjoy! And have a HAPPY New Year, ok?

Their son Stephen is a news anchor in Pennsylvania somewhere. He's a dead ringer for his pop. The daughter is a nurse and yoga teacher. Both very close to their moms, I believe.
