Diana is not pissed because of all the hateful born-again christian stuff- you are reading it wrong... Diana is pissed because a being outside of her may have control, may be more powerful, and could show she may be fallible and not perfect, and this is pissing her off. She is not a Satan character - the Bible just annoys her - she is a Greek character.

My only criticism is that Elizabeth would have shown more compassion for the Priest when he was shot.Maybe she would not have rushed to his side (or maybe she would), but she would have shown more compassion for his attack, he was an old man who had shown her love and compassion... Diana had not gotten to her just yet.

It hilarious to think this was broadcast on US TV back in the eighties, Diana murders a Catholic priest, and is observed doing it by a child! Its amazing what gets by the censors with science ficiton. Love this show, and Ms Badler!

I'm not one for most organized religions, but most people share your view for at least one of the following reasons: 1. They haven't endeavored to read the Bible with understanding. 2. They let the bad example of those who profess to be "Christian" influence their attitude towards religion in general. Even Ghandi was moved to say "I love Christ, but I despise "Christians". 3. They fear CHANGE. If their life style doesn't agree with the laws and principles in the Scriptures,,,

I am not sure if I understood this scene. Does Diana fear the priest might actually destroy the whole warmongering culture of the visitors on their home planet, if he ever got to preach the "salvation" of the Bible to the visitors?

Or does she realize her own ruthlessness is actually born from something that she lacks in life?

Either way I don't understand how she can see ancient superstition as a threat.
