Good thing that was level ground. I thought I knew the meaning of GUTLESS. I 'm the guy who put the Kubota 3 cylinder diesel in my Metro convertible. 70mpg but totally unsatisfactort on the freeway when I came to a hill. 65mph wide open. It liked 35 to 55 really well.
So what engine is it? how much did it cost? how did you mate it? do you have a tutorial anywhere? why 40mph? torque or speed problem? could you up the size of the tires to increase the speed to 50mph?
@cornflakes002 No, haha, not "the standard" engine for it. If you request to find out something specific, I will try to accomodate you and answer to the best of my ability.

why a 1 cilinder engine? a 3 cilinder kubota or a 4 cilinder volkswagen 1.6 is much better i think.
VWpowerdiesel 2 years ago
@VWpowerdiesel Less expensive to buy, less expensive to maintain, and fewer moving parts.
