Your a soldier in Iraq, 120+ degrees and you have to take your Barrett M107 50. Cal BMG to a sniping location to take out an enemy truck filled with weapons i.e. RPG-7s, AK47s, grenades, mines, other explosives, and handguns. Try to sprint with your Barrett which is 50+ pounds with the scope and clip, you have 20 or so bullets to get the job done (2 clips) roughly about 10lbs, so carry a 60 pound weight with you 3 or 4 miles, tell me how it feels, I have done this, and finished my mission.

Alright.. Recoil is hard to explain for me because I have shot so many firearms during my Military Career. I will try to put it in the best from I can.

When I was training to not only fire the Barrett but carry it as well, with a bi-pod the recoil is barely noticeable but the sound of a 50 will wake you up, but when I stood up and shot it, I almost fell over. Barrett has done more modifications to its snipers, like adding the new barrel that absorbs the power if the round.

Now I will answer your question about the Desert Eagle. If you have not shot other handguns before like .22s .40s .45s 9mms, I recommend that you try to shoot 9mms at least before you go to the big calibers such as the .357 .44mag and .50AE.

If you really want to fire a Desert Eagle before all that, I'm not controlling you, my best advice would be to hold that gun VERY firmly, don't slouch with it or else the gun can go back into you head.

Assassins are most likely not to be former soldiers because a soldier wouldn't kill anyone in his/her own country. Assassins are normal people walking down the street with concealed weapons or they might have to shoot the target for a distance probably with a sniper rifle. Most of them are drawn in by money. In the Military you are taught that yes killing is a bad thing but it is for the better, killing another human just wants to make you go over there and see how he/she looks.

.50cal AE. AE means Action Express and BMG means Browning Machine Gun which is a round more capable of farther distances, and does more damage. You can always change the round cartridge for a Desert Eagle though to a .44 Mag or .357 Mag. Pick your poison.
