I got immersed in DA:O in like the first 2 hours or something and i am pretty hard on judging if i like an RPG or not! DA:O, Bethesa RPGs, ME, Withcer 2 are absolutely amazing RPGs.. Dragon Age 2 was not that good, but they can make DA 3 really good if they give a shit... But when EA is in the mix you never know, they just go for quick money
@topografer yes for me playing it i never felt immersed in it. for me RPGs you feel that your the character. and gives you a reason to care. I never got that.

I was very well immersed, right from the start until the end. @ZamatoElite What If I dont really give a fuck about Elder Scrolls lore (which is fucking boring) Also doesn't the game only have like 3-4 hours of actually main story gameplay and the rest of the 70 hrs or so hours are side quest? I started the game and i'll admit the gameplay is great and all but the story so far is shit, only 4 to 5 voice actors (so far) and glitches like no tomorrow.Then again I was only about 5 -6 hrs into the game when I stopped. Also if you wanted to buy demon souls, I would suggest dark souls instead, as it is far improved.
ahhh if there only was real time combat on this one like god of war, prince of persia, assassin's creed kind, this would have been the perfect game :( I jus dont understandt how can this kind (or worse, turn based) combat can be better than the awesome real time combat as mentioned in the games above.........ahhhh, i guess ill get dragon age 2 rather than this one just because of the combat

Dragon Age origins is my top favorite role playing game, the story is really good, the characters are unique in there own way and there are so many opinions and quests in the game, its fun to play it. i agree with most of the things the guy in this video said. Awakening and DA2 are also good games in my opinion too. i cant wait for Dragon Age 3 to come.
For those who think DAO for PC should become a MMO, I don't agree, cause if we did that, we would make another WoW and it would ruin peoples REAL lives... AGAIN... And I think it's just more fun to talk to the screen like the game can hear you! :D
It can be a little small, but there's an ui mod on the dragon age nexus forums or the bioware ones which make the text bigger. And if I'm not mistaken, even instructions on how to customize the text size to your liking if you so please.

@kiensmf Baldurs gate dark alliance on ps2 and xbox has that over head view. You don't controll a party, but you can play offline co op. It is more like a diablo style game than a baldurs gate game, but it is one of the best console rpg's in many peoples opineon. I heard that alot of people really like that game better than this game. And I think you can play it on the 360. Just a tip tho, you may like this game better.

With double resolution avalible, better graphics and better games.
The PC can also be played with for example an PS3 controller if you don't like the mouse and keyboard.
And as I said, the computer is better at gaming even though that's not what it's made for, and that pretty much pwns everything from PS3 to Xbox 360. (Except for N64 which pwns all. (Best invention ever.))

Steam just put this game at $20. Never played it before, but after watching a couple of reviews, I think I'll buy. I always liked Gamespot's reviews because they seem (in general) to be more in-depth than the IGN ones.
Lol by seeing this video, i remembered how good this game was. And sadly i understood how much worse is dragon age 2.. I mean DAO was an epic journey full of surprises and rewarding moments, with great dialogues, character and great climax. Plus it was way bigger and more challenging

@TheNemke360 PVR's record more efficiently because it doent use system hardware to record and it compresses files to a much smaller size compared to popular PC recorders like Fraps, which use up a lot of system hardware to record which results in framerate drops, and it comes out as an ungodly file size.

After playing the demo of dragon age2 on the ps3 and finding out that the same people who made mass effect made the dragon age series, i have decided to order dragon age on the ps3 i cant beleive i walked pass this tittle and never knew it was made by the same people who made one of the best rpg's on next gen gaming.

@kiensmf Baldurs gate dark alliance on ps2 and xbox has that over head view. You don't controll a party, but you can play offline co op. It is more like a diablo style game than a baldurs gate game, but it is one of the best console rpg's in many peoples opineon. I heard that alot of people really like that game better than this game. And I think you can play it on the 360. Just a tip tho, you may like this game better.

@Sonny565 No, that's the part where the consoles get pwned, PCs can do much more than gaming and gaming IS better on PC.
With double resolution avalible, better graphics and better games.
The PC can also be played with for example an PS3 controller if you don't like the mouse and keyboard.
And as I said, the computer is better at gaming even though that's not what it's made for, and that pretty much pwns everything from PS3 to Xbox 360. (Except for N64 which pwns all. (Best invention ever.))

Long single player games are vital to the health of the game industry! otherwise If It gets totally casual/watered down then the hardcore buyer will feel abandoned & the new fickle generation of nothing but casuals will abandon it once they get older.Grow the industry with the ppl who helped you start it make room for everyone not just SWITCH TO SOCIAL-CASUAL GAMES.This whole hobby is turning into FACEBOOK (ugh) & possibly ending up like the music industry=dead in deep album form only singles :(

We need a Planescape Tornment Sequel/franchise revival like they gave fallout, that will truly revive the true rpg & keep the view al top down like this games pc version option,Fallout was best in topdown view/isometric also, just add HD, but a sequel to that rpg could revive the whole genre & kill world of warcraft & finally Half-Life 3 needs to hurry up & come to swiftly kill off the online CoD craze (fun but gettin out of hand & long in the tooth/unoriginal).Kill the social game craze NOW plz

Steam just put this game at $20. Never played it before, but after watching a couple of reviews, I think I'll buy. I always liked Gamespot's reviews because they seem (in general) to be more in-depth than the IGN ones.

Lol by seeing this video, i remembered how good this game was. And sadly i understood how much worse is dragon age 2.. I mean DAO was an epic journey full of surprises and rewarding moments, with great dialogues, character and great climax. Plus it was way bigger and more challenging

THANK YOU. This is what i was saying about the IGN review, they had to end it with their usual comments "ps3 has bad frame rate blah blah blah" but they almost never say SHIT about the xbox version. If you are gonna comment about stuff like that that most gamers won't compare or even notice that much, then do it for BOTH systems and fairly.Thanks Game Spot for being more balanced. Even if the xbox version was better, at least point out all the problems on both sides, not just on ONE console.

@TheNemke360 PVR's record more efficiently because it doent use system hardware to record and it compresses files to a much smaller size compared to popular PC recorders like Fraps, which use up a lot of system hardware to record which results in framerate drops, and it comes out as an ungodly file size.

After playing the demo of dragon age2 on the ps3 and finding out that the same people who made mass effect made the dragon age series, i have decided to order dragon age on the ps3 i cant beleive i walked pass this tittle and never knew it was made by the same people who made one of the best rpg's on next gen gaming.
