@mr010tommy010 i must have mistyped in one of my vids i never had the 1700, i had a kicker 750.1 on those two 15 ' L7's then put the 2100 on them. the 2100 is a great amp and im sure the 1700 would be almost the same. usually at that power level a couple hundred watts usually cant be distinguished. thats why even though my subs call for 2400 right now im not gonna switch to the brz2400 cause the difference will be insignificant but hifonics is making a 3000rms mt olympus amp coming out in june.

yea 2 gauge would be alot better, i use 0 on mine, that tells you alot about how big it is. 4 would probably be able to hold up in there(it does have large opening) but the main concern is you will only be able to run only so much power through the 4 gauge.
I have 4 guage wire ran through my truck, and I'm planning on ordering a Brutus 2100 in the next few weeks, do you think my wire is good enough? Or should I upgrade to 2 gauge??
why is everybody obsessed with the squares physics say its a bad design and a scheme by kicker to prove how dumb everybody is for buying them....why dont we have square ears then haha...
ohh and by the way i kept hearing how more subs would put out more spl than less subs running at equal wattage. well im here to say it isnt true. the eight 12's i got now do almost identical to what the two 15" l7 were doing cause im running same amp for one but also they were roughly the same rms. so the myth of more subs=more spl is incorrect. one speaker doing 3000 watts is going to do just as well as 10 subs putting out 3000 watts.
@mikewalston That is wrong... cone area always beats power.. 4 l7's on the same power as 2l7's would be louder. Usually... However there are extreme cases where the sub is so horribly inefficient that i needs a ton of power to even get moving. very rare.
Im using that same amp to push eight 12's right now totalling 2400watts but it being in a 20cf ported box keeps up with it just fine. most people dont know that when you put a sub in a ported box your suppose to drop a little on the power you use. so an 15 L7 =1000 rms for example only needs 750 in ported.
as far as the year of the sub,they usually make lil tweaks and upgrades to them each year but if nothing else one has neen sitting on a shelf for almost 4 years and the other 4 months
i cant, i sold this system. now i got eight 12"s but in a large ported box reggae prolly wont sound very good,you would want a smaller enclosed box for a more accurate and tighter bass sound

@odd i got 0 guage running and had 12 guage speaker but as far as the remote ive always used what ever came with the kit usually like 16 or 18 gauge

it was pushing the L7's great , the brz model amps by hifonics are legit. they really put out the rms stated and its clean power. (thd) is low
