Back in 70's I built a Ford Mustang with a 200 ci engine. It had a Offy intake adapter for three 1bbl, big valves, 300 degree Isky solid cam, headers and some other stuff. Thing was a beast. Still had all the parts until Hurricane Katrina screwed me over.
I agree with my cousin Sam, our cousin Joe is great in what he does. That Cortina is a beast......and Joe makes it look smooth! Good on`ya mate, you gotta gimme a rid in it when i`m next there! :)
Na man go for it! the 250's go! It's just he's sitting on near 8000 rpm with that 200 and the 250's a bit long in the stroke for that kind of work! LOL!
Oh and the only reason i know a bit about this car is because i've followed it through mags and that. It's a bloody work of art and joe deserves a BIG pat on the back 4 it. The last i heard was he is either selling the car or replacing the 200 with a TT windsor. I'm not sure.
What i am sure of thoe is it would be worth a bit! Haha.
Yeah he does deserve a big pat on the back and it is great that he is quicker than some or most VL Turbos!!! And yeah to be that fast and/or put a TT Windsor in his car would cost alot of money to buy when he sells it!
i got a 74 cortina with a 250 and it runs 12 to 1 compression, 2v head, stage 4 cam and av gas and its revs past 6 no worrys and its got a dickload of torque :)
it does clutches before it will throw a piston or rod
