She's not right about the thing with the copper statement. During the war, like around 42 I think, they made the pennies of steel because soldiers needed the copper for bullets.

wow cool I collect coins :D you should put them in pages like you can buy in coin shops online. I also buy the cardboard coin flips. best site I goto is wizard coin supply check it out on google. :D Nice wow!!!!!!!! I collect quarters :)

People may laugh at your hobby...but with surge in copper and zinc prices those pre 1983 pennies are worth 2.4 cents EACH in melt value. You have more than doubled your money!
