  • "its your Europe its your vote its your choice"

if only. i would like to the chance to vote this empire down! down with the EU! BURNN!

  • all people should ignore the lisbon treaty as we didnt vote for it and we dont want it

  • EU= European United Socialistic Republics

  • RUS Очень полезное видео, хотя и скучноватое...

  • to deal with global problems we have to think and act globaly => Europe is the right way to do this!

  • Oh dear! Give me a break!

The commission doesn´t care about the people. They don´t care about the poor.

    Lisbon treaty= dictatorship.

  • GIVE ME A BREAK!

    LISBON TREATY= DICTATORSHIP.

tHE COMMISSION DON´T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE. THEY DON´T CARE ABOUT THE POOR.

  • Yes voters, are bourgeois sheeple with blinkers on.

Since when were the poor on any political agenda? Governements represent the interests of big money. Always have, always will.

The poor are treated as cattle , cheap labour reserves, they can dispose of at their leisure.

Nothing will ever change for the poor. They have no say in anything, never had any, nor will they ever have.

If they were not exploitable they'd probably just cull them. as the song goes:"culling them softly"

  • So true

Why do people think the government as a whole care about the poor? Surely it is obvious that they don't as why would they, as they are mostly all rich. The majority of governments all around the world are made up of the rich, resulting in a lack of care for the poor.

  • The Lisbon Treaty Needs You!!!!!!!!!!! ☛

"Member States shall undertake progressively to improve their military capabilities." Art. 42.3 TEU of the Lisbon Treaty.

"Member States shall make *civilian* and military capabilities available to the Union for the implementation of the common security and defence policy" Art. 42.3 TEU of the Lisbon Treaty.

"The common foreign and security policy" will use "national and Union resources." Art. 26.4 TEU of the Lisbon Treaty.

  • "Public opinion will be led to adopt, without knowing it, the proposals that we dare not present to them directly - All the earlier proposals will be in the new text, but will be hidden and disguised in some way."

    - V.Giscard DEstaing, Sunday Telegraph, 1 July 2007

    Vote No!

  • This vid, is for those with short attention spans.

Its full of fast motion graphics and misdirection.

I'ld like to see something impartial like this but slower with more explaining.

Anyway it says clearly at the start of the vid that its the re-worded rejected constitution from 2005 and surely theres the hint on the whole morality of this sneaky legislation that cant take the hint.

  • how about you read the treaty yourself,or the parts that matter to your nation,or personal interest(there are excerpts from it everywhere on the webz).

  • I tried its unreadable, its just a list of amendments to the rejected 2005 constitution how about you read it and prove me wrong.

  • No to Lisbon.

  • YES side :

1.Big business looking for cheap labour like Dell who left Ireland for Poland and Nokia who left Germany for Rumania.

2.The "elite" and overpaid politicians and burocrats in Brussels, most members of the EU Playmobil "parliament" in Strasbourg & Brussels.

NO side : France,The Netherlands,Ireland who have already voted NO + Austria,Germany and UK whom would all vote NO if "allowed" by the un-elected commission of millionares.

Do the maths and vote YES to democracy,NO to Lisbon 2.

  • Stop LIESbon Treaty!!

    Irish, SAY NO AGAIN!!

  • So let me get this right, this video says that there are problems, that Lisbon tries to reform to tackle these problems, but some people say it doesn't go far enough?

Surely some reform is better than none, which is exactly what we get if Lisbon isn't passed.

  • NO TO LIES - NO TO LISBON

Don't trust the our self-serving Elite who want to sell the country for a few Euros!

  • AMEN VOTE NO!

  • Yote NO for germany, for france, for the dutch and off course for yourself and your children. Do'nt give in to dictatorship. The Lisbon treaty is nothing less than a high treason. Politicians all over europe who has been elected into force by their electorates grant these forces to an unelected bunch of burocrats in brussels. Those brusselarians rule in favor of the big corporations instead of the people. People if ireland please drop this monstrous thing once for all.

  • A very fine video. I'm in favour of Lisbon, but I'm delighted to see high-quality, unbiased pieces like this one, helping inform everyone on the arguments involved.

  • Why oh why would anyone vote for the Lisbon Treaty The only sensible vote is a NO vote keep Ireland free from those powers and countries who are only interested in the resources they can use and abuse from each and every country they have access too As a Protestant Irishman in the North of Ireland I would rather see a United Ireland than have the LIsbon Treaty Why oh who would Irishmen/women vote for a Englishman like Tony Blair to be their next President and rule over them No more English Rule

  • PLEASE ireland vote no! the peoples of europe dont want this!

  • What a shambles as an Irish Protestant in the North of Ireland I was not allowed my democratic vote so I could NO to the Lisbon Treaty. Instead like the Good Friday Agreement Forced on the majority in the North of Ireland the Lisbon Treaty is being forced on the people in the 26 countries of Ireland. Like the English the Irish Government are using the threat of fear and proverty to obtain a Yes vote on the Lisbon Treaty. As a Irishman can I ask you all vote NO. Ireland will be eaten up by europe

  • Your Europe.

    Your Vote.

    Your Choice.

Really? Then howcome Ireland was the only Nation to actually have a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty?

But wait, why play this game? This treaty is nothing new, all they did was change the name of the bloody thing, to force Ireland to vote again...

  • I'm still voting No.....Again!

  • Vote Yes keep our jobs

  • You're an idiot!

  • 5% of the country dont care about jobs They only want more money in their pocket Unite men and women of Ireland take to the streets and claim back Ireland As a Protestant Irishman i in the North of Ireland I am seething that fear and intimidation are being used against the mass populace Ireland and its people are being sold down the road and we and I mean all the Irishmen in Ireland are seen as nothing but serfs by the powers which would shackle us with the chains of the EEC which is repugnant

  • Say NO to this kind of EU !

« Project Indect » is developing computer programmes to monitor & process information from web sites ;discussion forums ;file servers ;networks and individual computers.THIS PROJECT HAS EU FUNDING. All this info could then be used by SitCen ( the EUs « secret service »).

The EU already has its own para-military (EGF) and has granted its police (Europol) immunity from criminal prosecution.

This is Europe NOT Pinochet's Chile !

    Ireland,PLEASE stop Lisbon 2 !

  • Love your work! amazing, well done!

  • They say vote yes for the ECONOMY; now let's not speculate here. How has the EU helped us in our current difficulties? Where are all these jobs? How did the EU protect jobs in the last 18 months? Why is the Polish economy the best performing in the EU? (I suspect its something to do with DELL and the like). Mark my words: THE RACE TO THE BOTTOM IN EUROPE IS ON FOLKS!!!

  • barroso has just announced €14.8 million for the dell workers

  • NEWS JUST IN - the EU has in the last hour (Saturday and all) announced they have a new fund for DELL workers...... Buy me Mr. Barrosso, buy me! To put this into context € 15 million would barely cover lunch money for the Dell employees and the others that are out of jobs because of these relocations!!! - (this comment has been sponsored by the NWO)

  • A recent report from the European Parliament Committee on Employment showed that the majority of DELL operations did not go to Poland, but to China.

  • Sorry the source of your information was??

  • no means no

  • my god people of ireland please vote no we need to stand up for our rights as we wont have any with lisbon all we are doing is baleing out government and bankers thats it,nothing for the people only going backward in time, and what happens war we already have a new young IRA with guns rocket launchers and bombs that will be used i think it has alot to do with lisbon,i would let the government fix there problem and not bale them out they dont care about us as people only banks and money vote no

  • YES or NO arguments.

    YES !

VOTE YES TO STAY PART OF A CONTINENT (Europe).

The EU is not Europe. Norway,Switzerland and Luxembourg are ALSO part of Europe,as is Iceland. Iceland is slowly coming out of recession thanks to having devalued its currency and keeping its fishing industry intact !

According to Brussels,Turkey is also part of Europe !

    NO !

VOTE NO TO KEEP YOUR OWN CONSTITUTION ;CITIZENSHIP ;OWN LAWS & RIGHTS ;DECENT WAGES ;PUBLIC HEALTH & EDUCATION ;NEUTRALITY etc.

    Yes or No ?

  • Irish Citizenship, the Minimum Wage, Health, Education, Neutrality and Social Issues were never under threat from the Treaty of Lisbon.

Show me the articles in the Treaty that support your argument.

And Turkey is part of Europe.

  • This treaty is nothing but a bunch of about 300-400 coorperate/political people planning on how to make an empire on the backs of 450 million oblivious people. Everything in this treaty smells like total shit, and theres not one single reason, i repeat, NOT ONE SINGLE REASON, to vote yes and every reason to vote no. The yes camp are pathetic with their "heart of europe" and "oh no the economy" bullshit. Any1 got a reason to vote yes that i cant shoot down 100%, bring it on.

  • My congrats to the makers of this video (although I was a tad dizzy by the end from all the motion). I will be voting yes as I think clarity was received on the questions posed last time. Considering Mr Ganly has jumped back in the ring - he has actually been very quiet imo. Considering the cockups that our gov has presided over in the last few years - I don't think we could be in a worse position than we are now.

  • NO!

  • europe is changing, the world is changing its no longer sustainable to continue making decisions in europe the way they have been in the past!Ireland NEEDS to say YES!!Like it or not we have been part of Europe since the 70s and we have done very very well, look at all our new roads etc!!Listening to the no voters who are only saying no for (a) the sake of it, (b) because they dont understand whats going to happen!!!! if you dont know anything about it either learn about it or dont vote!!

  • Ireland already said NO.

Are we just going to repeat the same referendum again and again until we get the YES?

I say NO to the Lisbon Treaty.

  • YES! ariba ariba!

  • Look at the United States right now:

    - endless corruption

    - endless welfare

    - endless wars

    - endless government spending

None of the concepts put forth in the Lisbon treaty have worked that well have they ?

The big problem is the politicians are too corrupt to follow any kind of rule of law.

Who is better governing Ireland some corrupt idiot in Brussels or an Citizen of Ireland that is ACCOUNTABLE to the IRISH TAXPAYERS.

  • really? I haven't seen much accountability for the mess Irish politicians have put Ireland in

and I'm talking mostly Fianna Fail here. I think actually Irish people need foreign leadership, it seems to be working with Trappatoni :P

  • Well let's start with how come there's no other referendum on this bull shit ?

2nd hasn't there already been a referendum what right does the government have to impose another one so soon.

Look at the EU politicians corruption in action.

  • Theres no other referendum on this because our constitution requires us to have a referendum every time such change is proposed!people said no the last time marginly and the no campainers wanted clarity on our corporation tax and army neutrality for example, we went back negotiated and got clarity on all our issues!and people still want to say no. and on your corruption remark, power corrupts, thank god we live in a democracy and can choose to not elect these corrupted individuas again.

  • Hey how come there's another referendum so soon ?

Also how come no other country gets a referendum.

Looks suspect to me, no benefit for the people.

  • so soon????over a year later???do you want them to put it on hold for another while just for us so we can have a break from the hard work of ticking a box over a year ago!if they wait any longer it will need to be rewritten!thats what happens time, economy, populations evolve, hense the need for so many treaties,Amsterdam,Nice,Lisbon, etc!

You should feel privelaged that we get a referendum, its in our constitution, men died to give us this right!

  • Well I call bull shit, Ireland doesn't need the EU and their bull crap politics.

You might as well tattoo a ser # on your forehead...

I don't want them to put it on hold the results on the first referendum said NO. So the EU needs to piss off...

  • good but too on the fence

  • Excellent job, really thought-provoking!

  • We ARE European! This is the first publication that compels the viewer to think like one.

  • The "citizen's initiative" says it all really ! We are to become "citizens" of the EU without being asked (which is against international law). Should we "citizens" go to the trouble of raising 1 million signatures and present it to Brussels,...the un-elected commission can ignore it or use it to light their cigars (smoking has not been banned in the two parliament buildings) !

THIS is how far democracy has declined in Europe.

It is sad and a disgrace at the same time.

  • really beautiful graphics... more people should be doing things like this. Thanks EAPN!

  • Very slick presentation and the content is actually fresh, engaging and informative. Really great job!

  • The EU it seems are not doing a very good job fighting poverty at the moment why should we think this will change? They've be at it for decades already. Tackling poverty is most effective at a community level.

  • Thanks for the feedback folks, it's much appreciated. EAPN Ireland is a small organisation (only five of us!) with limited resources so this is a great way to get our message out and add to the debate. Send it to your friends!

    Mark (EAPN Ireland)

  • Feckin' marvellous. Really smooth and apt.

  • That was brilliant, graphics are savage. I finally get the Lisbon Treaty :)

  • Very good and really informative.

  • Nice video. "From Athens to Athenry" - OMG what about Connaught?!

We want to believe the EEC was set up to enhance trading in Europe, but Jean Monnet comments unfortunately suggest a different reality - small steps towards an empire.

But it isn't all doom and gloom, if people make sure to vote No to Lisbon, it would necessitate new thinking within the EU and hopefully a peelback of the previous treaties also, and a new, democratic, conception of the European neighbourhood.

  • clear and concise..well done

  • Looks very good.
