it's true, we had no idea what was going on around us. The Japanese were so calm that even as we walked through downtown Tokyo that day back to our hotel, the hundreds of thousands of people who were also forced to walk home from afar were calm and walked quietly. I'm sure they knew more than we did at that point, but their demeanor and kindness never lacked even during a time of great trial, tragedy and disaster. Absolutely amazing people!
What is so amazing is that these people didn't even know that there was a much worst hit part of Japan and that a Tsunami was wiping away parts of Japan. But most importantly they didn't know about that Nuclear meltdown from the destroyed Nuclear power plant. My heart goes out to Japan.
