  • If it worked as easy as just joining membranes we would have a cure to every virus -.-

  • I never cared for viruses until they were made into 3D!!!

  • prophages will then fill up the cell and the cell will burst because of the pressure of having 1000s of viruses filling up the cell

  • Viruses are not alive. They never metabolize. Outside of a cell, they do absolutely nothing. They are dependent upon a cell to reproduce. What they do is inject their entire genome into a cell and then get either incorporate their genome into the host's genome (lysogeny) or turn the cell against itself by causing the cell's machinery (ribosomes, RNA polymerase) to make viral proteins (for the capsid and tail fibers) and more viral DNA which gets packaged into the viral proteins. (the lytic cycle

  • what software did you use?

  • @sam421kc i used maya 2009

  • Gostei, porém eu não sei nenhuma lígua estrangeira, Preciso que os videos venham em português.

    obriga

    Lane

  • These most be extraterrestial virus ! so unrealistic !

  • Comment removed

  • ehhh no they were created to eliminate gays...

  • Nicely Done!

Looks cool for not using hair or fur ;)

How many Verts / Faces / Tris was it?

  • ummm that are ehh one kind of virus..

i forget one of a virus is combine of 2 virus (i think it H1N1 is)

i don't think virus is dead or alive

how can virus move on there coat when their dead, not by nature

  • lol that was effin creepy. not really accurate but i loved how the music made it dramatic.

  • viruses are not like that

    there smaller than bactiria

    they can infect bactiria

but good example and good video

    3 stars

you need to learn stuff first

  • Before making a video about something, try learning about it first. Viruses do not merge with a cell and make it spiky, they are also MUCH smaller than a cell.

  • @Quztuk So what? he is just showing how a virus infects the cell. And by the way, the majority of viruses do merge with the cell by endocytosis which is where the cell membrane wraps around the the virus and the virus is then put into the cells cytoplasm where it then infects the nucleas.

  • @SuicidalWaltDisney in general though youve gotta say this is a little unrealistic...

  • excelent. Where did you get the music?

  • Its OST of Prince of Persia..

  • Viruses do not look like spheres. They are also not living things. Viruses are dead chemicals.

  • maybe next time i will put some "living things" and "dead chemicals"...But can u describe me dead chemicals???

Before u said its "LIVING things" then you said "DEAD chemicals"..make your mind first mate...

  • @cool69hunk69

its a cool video, entertaining and all but i have to agree. this would be better suited for some hollywood thriller than a teaching tool...

  • @cool69hunk69

    he said NOT living things

    my god you're thick

  • @cool69hunk69 he said there NOT living things. To clarify.

But i myself am inbetween on the matter

  • thats exactly how the flu virus lookslike watch the national geographic

  • @WolYou

Some of them are spheres. And no, they're not "dead chemicals." they're beings on the virge of life. the reason they're classified as nonliving is because they cannot reproduce by themselves, and cannot create their own energy.

  • @CuppaS00p like volcanic islands that can only grow if the earth provides lava? are islands beings on the verge of life?

  • @WolYou virusses are non living when they are outside of the cell, once they get inside the cell, they become living. They inject their genetic material into the cell and that material(maybe DNA only or RNA) will grow and increase in number inside the cell to become a new virus. When viruses are too large and many, they will get out of the cell and the cell will be destroyed. And more virus will infect another more cell. Note: viral victims includes bacteria, human cells, fungi and othe cell..

  • @WolYou some virus are like spheres... they have many shapes... example of sphere shaped virus is ROTAVIRUS

  • @WolYou this is just an example and virus' are in lots of shapes and yes they are technically not living because they cant perform all of living organisms characteristics

  • @WolYou where do YOU go to get your information? California libraries? Most viruses are sphericle with several attachment Glycoprotiens on their outer shell that contain the RNA or DNA strand within an envelope or capsid. Exceptions being the Filoviridae and bacteriophage. They are classified ad the smallest living organisms (AKA microscopic intracellular parasites) because of their methood of complete reproduction into a specific structure beyond that of chemical chains.

  • @WolYou Incorrect, they are not living, nor dead

  • @WolYou I'll outright say it; you're a fucking idiot.

  • @WolYou viruses are called like "half dead", "halforganism". Can get the right terms in english, but they are not called an organisms because they cannot reproduce without another organism. An organism must be able to reproduce itself with other organism of the same species or it cant be called an organism.. And it that thing is pretending to be a cell, the virus would be a lot smaller..? or what does it even pretendt?

  • WOW A GREEN FLOPPY THINGS! hmm thats a virus but that isnt 2008!

  • jaffa cakes

  • Nice m8, allways funny the see the results of the first renders. If you never make the noob vids, you will never get pro..

    Keep up the good work.

  • isn't this more of a bacteria? Arn't viruses more of a icosahedron with a neck and weird skinny legs? Unless there are more designs for a virus

  • My mistake, there many many shapes, I just asumed the non standard shape was a bacterium

  • There are several kind of viruses, the one you describe is the most elaborated one, the one on the picture it's a virus with a membrane. A bacteria looks more like a stick. ( I'm not a specialist, but it's what I read)

  • only in symbol

  • virussus are more robottic. bacteria are indeed more round

  • the ones with "legs" are bacteriophages

  • What the fuck was that?? You had two spheres clip into each other and then a VERY basic hair modifier on a sphere?!

  • hey buddy...i done that with jus simple sphere's..ur right with thats...and i didnt use hair modifier with that...i dont know how to use hair modifier that time...i jus extrude some part of the spheres...and then animate them two by two...(manually) ...im jus Noob at that time...but still i got 24K plus views...

  • Oh no! I was a bit drunk when I commented on this... I apologize brother, didn't mean to disparage your work. You should have seen the stuff I put together when I was just learning ;-)

Anyway, assuming this is 3ds max... for two organic shapes to merge you should try using a BlobMesh compound object.

    Cheers, and sorry again...

  • its ok bro...just relax

  • Your screen name suits you...

  • more happens u r just an idiot

  • yeah right. that's exactly what happened last time i caught a cold. ; )

  • Scary!

  • loool, yeah

  • [sarcasm]IM SO GOING TO SHOW THIS TO EVERYONE AT MY BIOCHEMIST LAB. YEAH THEY WILL LOVE IT! ALL THE UNDETAILED DATA IS JUST WHAT A GROUP OF BIO'S NEED THAT HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING FOR 5 YEARS.[/sarcasm]

  • sweet backround music, makes it so much more... scary :P?

  • not even scary

  • it scared my whole science class =D

  • Really??? what they said?? lolz...

  • it was WAAAAAY too static...

  • so scary.. ;(

  • You obviously don't know what viruses are.

  • Can you provide a full screen version of this?

  • Well I noticed the other day in the paper, how these images are now in emails with viruses. So when i typed 3d virus, as what they were titled in the paper, this is what I got, and they look exactly the same as they were in the paper, that is all... I am sure you can find out more on the internet. Then recomment back here to tell me I am wrong

  • I thought this was to do with PC EMAIL virsus which attacks the computer. I stand by my first comment also lol.

  • It has a lot to do with viruses. Check it up. It's a virus coded into this 3d structure.

  • i like it

  • That looks really cool, I like it.

  • Nicely done. I like it.
