Just for all the courious: Manu Ginobili is argentinian but, like his surname confirm, has Italian descents. He started to play in Argentina but he came to Italy in Reggio Calabria a then in Virtus Bologna (my favorite team) where he won Italian championship and Euroleague. So that's why they treat him like an 'european' player: because he formed himself in Europe and there he has started to play better and better.

Well, he's from Argentina alright, but he played most of his professional pre-NBA career in Europe, and was one of the best players over there for several years. His "school" was in Europe, so he can be labled as an "European" player...basketball-wise.
