IDA are doing are great job, bringing awareness to people, thank you so much for all your hard work. And thank goodness for the internet. Personally, I tried my best to only buy products that are not experimented on animals and try to use herbal remedies as much as possible. Vivisection is not only cruel to innocent and defenseless animals but is also completely invalid and people need to know this.
Hazleton Laboratories provided animal data favorable to the tobacco industry that contributed to the continued marketing of cigarettes. Hazleton was a "major research contractor" for the National Cancer Institute (NCI), & for nine U.S. cigarette manufacturers since 1970. Between February of 1978 & March of 1980, Hazleton conducted a two-year study for NCI on the cardiovascular effects of mainstream cigarette smoke & carbon monoxide on "204 permanently tracheostomized male beagle" dogs.
your are an idiot assholl.......let cut your wife take her baby out and kill it just to see of the test work.
people like you have to hurt what sooooo ever.....here's one idea i have may the coverment should stop making smokes once and for all .
if these assholls dont want people to smoke anymore they sure know how to stop it buuuuutttt no lets kill animals....lets kill you assholl furker...go to church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
everybody who thinks its right. Asking Ya-Can you abuse monkies with your own hands? If so, if you wouldnt run crazy, if you dont feel the shame inside when you see those shaking monkies,if you can tell me you can do that,,then in my oppinion youre a pervert
We still don't know the cause of some types of cancer. I think we also need to test the chemicals found in cigarettes. We need to do more studies to see which parts of the body tobacco smoke affects.
It's already well documented that tobacco smoke effects two of the most important organs in the body: The heart and lungs. The development of lung cancer after many years of smoking is not a certainty, but the odds of contracting it are increased astronomically by smoking. Smoke constituents which enter the blood stream cause the inside of the arteries to become rougher. The rougher surface allows fatty deposits to stick to the inside of the arteries more readily, resulting in arteriosclerosis.
The only reason animal experimentation continues today is the lure of huge government grant money. There is no scientific basis for the testing, since no test results on animals can relate to a human. But these sick "scientists" are reaping monetary rewards for their "work" at the expense of innocent, voiceless animals who suffer untold cruelty, pain and suffering. It must stop! We must bombard our goverment officials with letters & calls until this finally ends once and for all.
Great video! The truth about those "experiments" is finally coming out! About time! I will write those 2 letters right away! Thank you for this important video!
Pregnancy, by the way, has been shown to be a most successful motivator to convince smoking women to quit.
Wouldn't it be nice for Big Tobacco if this troublesome motivator were eliminated?
Find a way for pregnant women to smoke by conducting nicotine studies on monkeys and pay researchers to produce results that say taking vitamin C during pregnancy will counter the dangers of toxic cigarette smoke to the unborn child.
You want to save animals? save humans! it's the same! we are animals, then...why people say results are not the same when experimenting on animals? do you thing you are better or different from other animals!? this is what so far the ignorant people could go. This would be happening one way or another, because it's our nature to survive with the "intelligence" we should have, that here we may see, you need.
You're so WRONG. Ok, this is the issue, could you fight with something you don't know? that's why this experiments. Why monkeys? well, they have the most similar organism to humans. At least, you offer your son or a parent to do this "ridiculous" experiments, that in the future would save many humans. They are people that just can't stop smoking during pregnacy, what if we can develope a system were the baby would not be affected by this action?you should protest in front of a cigarette factory!
Sulijka: You need to catch up on scientific evidence regarding the fact that NO animal makes a good model for human research. They tested on Chimpanzees for decades to try and find a cure for HIV. They don't get it. Now, a study from a decade of HIV research on monkeys has produced NO results. Meanwhile animal testing has resulted in HIV plasma being used in Europe that caused the deaths of over 10,000 people. Your assumptions are based on what the corporations are telling you to get your $
"They are people that just can't stop smoking during pregnacy"
Why do you suppose that is, sulijka? Could it be the pellet of 140 toxic and addictive chemicals in cigarettes?
The irony and utter hypocrisy is that Philip Morris is funding nicotine addiction studies at UCLA on primates. Professor Edythe London, the lead scientist on the 3-year study, received 6 million dollars from the tobacco giant, in addition to NIH funds, to discover new ways to treat nicotine addiction.
The tobacco industry prevented the public from knowing the dangers of smoking for decades by "proving" it wasn't harmful by hooking beagle dogs up to machines that pumped tobacco smoke into them for years. Beagles don't get lung cancer. 92% of drugs that pass animal testing fail clinical trials. Of the 8% that pass, 1/2 are recalled due to health hazards. 100,000 ppl a year die in the US alone because of this. This is about making money and preventing lawsuits not, human health.
how about the owner of tobacco products and the scientists that waste our money gets tested on?
milkbone11111 2 weeks ago
the reason why is because legislaters need something to use against tobacco companies continually saying that nicotine is harmless.

What disgusting conduct. How dare anyone say anything in favor of this lunacy! IT MUST BE STOPPED!

The American Cancer Society (ACS) was an early promulgator of the link
between smoking & cancer in the landmark epidemiological studies
(comparisons within/between human populations) of 1952 & 1959.
However, the tobacco industry was able to delay widespread acceptance
of this link largely because animals in studies did not develop cancer.
Decades of vague & inconclusive results enabled them to perpetuate
confusion & prevent doctors from giving authoritative warnings.

Unbelievable. What is wrong with people? Animals are not the same as humans, testing is pointless on animals. As well as downright inhumane.
