Apple originally brought out a system called OS1, however, they had not filed for copyright on it, so Bill Gates took it and sold it to IBM as his own, hence starting Microsoft as a proper company. He stole the original software from Apple because of their stupidity of not filing for copyright. I'm a PC user by the way, I prefer windows 7 to Mac, I think it is easier to use, but Bill Gates did steal from Apple.

I'm quite satisfied with my windows laptop thanks. I like that I don't have to worry about buying a new computer if I need to upgrade or replace components. I simply open the covers on the bottom of the machine and fix them myself. And personally, although the macbook operating system is flashy, I cannot do half of the bigger, more "hardcore" programming or gaming applications on it that I can with my windows computer.

It's so true..I was brought up on pcs all my life, then I discovered the macbook. OMG my life has been so much better since! Once you get used to using a mac (people say pcs are easier, but that's because they just aren't used to a mac) you realise how much more user friendly it is. I also have to agree on the keyboard; I can't explain what it is, but I love the macbook keyboard.

Pcs take for ever to switch on, and they always crash!

Oh and build quality of the laptop keyboard means nearly nothing, plus i like the feeling of real keys :) Typing means nothing they should review processor, graphics onboard, onboard RAM etc. and th only reason macs dont get viruses is they dont have anyone using them

I had that same problem the keyboard was to small. I have a Samsung R580 and it has spaces between each key. the only thing bad about the mac is that it doesn't support blu-ray. if you were to go on vacation and brong you're laptop and the place doesn't have wifi then you can watch a movie instead.

This just does not say why there better at all, they mention nothing about the performance of the Macbook vs Laptop, Macbooks are slow and over price for how slow they are, the only good thing is the looks but you can get a Laptop for the same price that is 10x better performance and you get a really nice looking one with the same type of keyboard as this clip is comparing.

PRICE! PRICE! PRICE! PRICE! IS THAT THE ONLY DOWNSIDE! Its like comparing a fast food restaurant to a 5 star restaurant. OF COURSE IT WILL COST MORE!!! It is better to go better. The laptop they are comparting to the macbook has a cheep and plastic encloser that is why it waights less then the macbook, and cost less. And considering the expected lifetime of each laptop the macbook wins by far.  It would take nearly two Eee pcs to live just as long as the macbook if not more so. I could go on.
